[2019] Hotel Krønasår

It’s interesting that EP seem to have steered away from their current model of having at least one buffet restaurant per hotel.

I suppose five buffet restaurants is probably enough for a resort, however with Kronasar being somewhat isolated from the other hotels, one would have thought perhaps the same buffet / a la carte model might have persisted.

It doesn’t sound like Cafe Kanditori will be much more than coffee and cake and with the village and park being some distance, the cheaper food options might be scant if you’re staying at Kronasar.

Just booked to stay at Kronasar in June for our first ever visit to Europa park, will have 3 full days at the park. Prob wont eat at the hotel restaurants as the menu doesn't really appeal, we will utilise the shuttle bus and eat either in Rust or at some of the other resort hotels. The park is open until at least 7pm the days where are there so we might get food before heading back to the hotel. Wanted to visit for ages so really looking forward to finally getting to the park.

It’s good to see the bars and restaurants stocked already, especially as we still have a good few weeks before it opens!

The menus looks good; Tre Krønen is a typical high end Europa-Park hotel restaurant menu whereas Bubba Svens has something to suit everyone in the family. Although I am confused as to why the meatballs are showing as containing hazelnuts.

It looks like Krønasår welcomed its first guests earlier this week and Europantica.ch have posted some photos from inside of the hotel. Doesn't seem to be a way to post them here as they are part of a slideshow gallery but well worth a look. On the whole I think it is looking very good. My only concern is the one poor quality photo of what I think is Tre Krønen, it looks very bland (especially compared to the concept) although I suspect that the decoration is not yet complete.

Yeah it does look somewhat sparse, however I noticed the cables hanging from the ceiling so hopefully they will add more detailing.

The Tre Krønen menu isn't as expansive as I'd hoped, but some of the dishes do sound pretty good; in particular the cod, the lamb shank and the reindeer. Hopefully I get to try it in July.

The Tre Kronen cuisine is not a cuisine i would expect at a leisure park . I don't like it, i don't want it and i will not eat there.

These photos on Instragram also show just how lovely it is going to be sitting outside of Krønasår:

I’m intrigued by the area over the water? Those are all individuals seating areas partitioned off. They can’t be part of a room though as they are all open at the ends. Is that one of the restaurants or bars?

Pretty sure they are some of the comfort rooms that are about €75pn extra than the standard rooms. The booking site shows the terraces surrounded by hedges so perhaps they're still to go in or they're going for this open feel with just the screens?

A glimpse inside Krønasår from this weekends soft opening-sih:

From what I have seen so far I am a big fan and am looking forward to experiencing it for myself at the end of next week. But I still feel that Tre Krønen is lacking in decoration; the concepts showed lots of framed artwork on the walls yet this has not materialised, even though there are seemingly spaces for it. I hope this is rectified in the next week.

Yes, I’ve exactly the same thoughts about the Tre Krønen after seeing photos. Some artwork on the walls would certainly add some more character. It’s really lacking in detail, and looks very bland and uninspiring at the moment. Everything else I’ve seen looks fantastic though!
