The bit on their website that states what it contains gives a bit away. Sounds really interesting but £29 is a bit steep.

“Please note, Journey To Hell is a scare zone live actor and action based experience which will include one rollercoaster, no other rides will be open as part of Journey To Hell.

Journey to Hell WILL include the following:

  • Sexual Content
  • Offensive language
  • Uneven surfaces
  • Low/ no visibility
  • Strobe lighting
  • Smoke/Haze
  • Loud noises
  • Blackout Hoods
  • Latex
  • Confined spaces
  • Steps
  • Water spray
  • Damp or wet conditions
  • A physically demanding environment
  • Height restrictions”
Sounds like a load of crap to me. £29 to go on ONE ride and walk around a load of coffins and people dressed as werewolves, etc. No thanks.

Each to his own and all that, but Halloween stuff has never remotely interested me, not as a kid or an adult.

I am intrigued by the ‘sexual content’ referred to by the park though. Perhaps you get something from Mandy for that price :D and what about ‘damp or wet conditions’ ? Is the whole thing being held inside Valhalla? ‘Latex’ ? Is this Bernard in his gimp suit? As for ‘offensive language’, if you sit around at Madame Crevettes for long enough you can hear this from @rob666 for free !

Can anyone recommend any discounts for the PB for this coming Friday - I have been loads of times but only really going to ride Icon (and Valhalla provided it's open!). 2 of us going so 50 quid is a bit steep for a couple of rides ;)

You need to take advantage of their great value ride ticket system.

Just £10 to get in then £15 to ride icon and £10 to ride Vallhalla. Errrrr hang on !!!

Unfortunately there is no point in just going in for 2 rides. Have a day in the park and ride as much as you can. I doubt you will get any discounts anywhere.

@shakey It's £15 to get in and ride Icon with the 'Big One Ride Ticket'. I know that doesn't shift the value equation too much, though.

Ok, I stand corrected. But that still makes it £25 for one ride on Icon and Valhalla. The same cost as a wristband.

Edit: There is no mention of this 'Big One Ride Ticket' on their website.

Quite deliberate, I imagine. It's a fleecing option for walk-up customers. Not that there are many of those these days. Oh no, here we go again...
My guess is these parks want to encourage as many to book online as possible, so people who change their mind can't get a refund, and so people are not put off going due to the weather.

Haha those 'deals' are a joke. Cheers all, wristband and a day at the park Friday it is then. Hopefully not to busy as it doesn't open until 11!

Do you use Tesco clubcard? You can triple your points on there. We paid about £3 for two of us in May.

Just come back from a day at BPB.

Very quiet there, walk on queues for most rides. Big One down most of the day due to high winds.

A lot of the smaller rides were closed. Icon on one train, so it had a queue of 20 minutes for most of the day. I think they could do with a batcher as many trains were leaving with empty seats.

A decend day, but could have been better

Sounds like a typical autumn weekday.
There is a list of smaller ride closures up on the website.
And I do remember a senior member of staff saying Icon would never be on one train as the new main attraction on the park, unless there were train issues...which I know is not the case.
Then the bean counters come along.
Half hour queues on the big new coaster when they have three trains.
Absolutely, completely unacceptable.
Mandy, get your thumb out of your arse and sort out your park's off peak operations.
No excuse for this at all.
And it is now "normal service".

If you stuck two trains on it within a short period you'd have no queue and you would be waiting for guests - so end up sending half full trains or stacking like crazy.

But when it only takes two minutes to shift a train at the press of a couple of buttons with such wonderful new technology...
