Legoland Windsor

Who on earth is in charge of this marketing campaign?

A "world first" that literally nobody could care less about and concept art which makes the coaster look simultaneously barren and hideously garish.

So...... let me get this right poultons park a family run park develop and promote a whole new area for 2020 with regular updates and photos. And Merlin ( a company second only to Disney remember! ) develop a catapilar ride themed to duplo to replace the busy water play area. Errrrrr is this what their development and marketing team can come up with? Are they planning on developing a waterpark for the hotel?

Confirmed on Twitter this afternoon that Star Wars miniland is to shut on 31st December 2019. Interesting this comes just after Lego California announced they're removing the star wars mini land there.

I'm guessing there are plans for a new attraction (or shop) to take its place in the parks. To be fair it was pretty hidden away and no where near the Miniland area.

Guessing the contract came up for renewal, and Disney weren't too keen for it to continue after there rediculously huge investment in Star Wars attractions. Not too unsuprising really. I guess LEGO will continue to own the rights to make the toy sets though.

It looks set to be a good year down at Legoland in 2020, I'm so happy to see the castle being repainted because it looked shocking this year, it had got past looking weathered and just looked grubby and dirty, so this is a huge improvement.

It's nice to see the park getting so much TLC lately, with The Beginning, Laser Raiders, Vikings River Splash, Legoland Express, Submarine Voyage and other parts of the parking being refreshed I think Legoland looks the best it has done in a long time, hats off to them!

(I've also noticed Raft Racers has been repainted as part of the Duplo Valley refurb as well)

I wonder if this surge of winter TLC is a rapid response from Kirbi, now they have taken over?
The Lego brand is obviously the one they understand best, so the one they could get on with quickest if they saw presentation as being an issue to them.

If it is, then lets hope they have a look at TLC at the bigger UK parks in 2020 too... the other UK parks all need improvement around their look and atmosphere.
