Scarefest 2012

Our usual collective didn't actually go to Scarefest last year. So having had a year off I'm wondering if it is going to feel a bit more fresh and exciting, despite TOTT not really changing much (by the sounds of things?). We've booked SL for a night to make the most of the park, and I actually do have high hopes if I'm honest. So far I've enjoyed all the marketing, bar the TV advert, and the "lack" of solid information up until recently has made it more interesting for me.

I'm not going until the 27th (so basically a lightyear away) so the challenge for me now is not reading the spoilers.

Just as a reminder TowersNerd will be doing their coverage tomorrow. I've posted the link below although it's still showing opening day at the moment. Remember to check it out as it’s a really good live feed.
Funnily enough I've just spotted my mum in one of the opening day pictures? :p

If you're doing Scarefest, do Sanctuary.

It's great!

I assume Sanctuary is just another "conga" line maze rather than adding any new dimension. I was really hoping for something different.

It is different, yes it is a conga line maze but the sets are stunning, the fact that they have opened up a section tha hasn't been acessible to the public in a long time is so disorientating not knowing that section of the building, the marmaliseation room is like nothing I've experienced (and I've done Terenzi), there are also a high number of actors in this attraction ( more than I've ever seen in a maze before), so no you don't get split up like experiment 10 but it is different.

Cannot wait till i go to scarefest! Not planning to do any scaremazes although i may do zombies. Will there be actors roaming around the park anyway? Or will that scare little kids to much? Also is there much SW7 marketing improvement yet? What do they say about SW7 anyway in the sanctuary or can you not tell us ;) ?

WHOOPS!

Look at the gondolas people. :p

The gondolas aren't meant to be that close, they are touching each other and the gondola on the left looks like it's at a slant! Looks like a slight collision to me.

Quite correct. Made an almighty bang too!

Ouch, I wonder how that happened. I assume the ride was e-stopped straight away?
It was indeed. Apparently the sensors didn't register the gondola as being too close to the other one as it came in to the FV station. The wheels carried on moving said gondola and... Bump!

Maintenance were on site straight away as seen in photos.

Sorry to double post.

Does anyone know where this cunning clue is, inside the Scarefest App? I've been up and down Towers Street, asked at the Box Office, Towers Trading, even looked in a phone box!

I've picked up from one or two members currently on park who have made posts on Twitter and Facebook that the lighting is, once again, way too bright. ???
