Alcohol is being served today.

That is very brave if there are any number of travellers on the park. I remember well the chaos they caused about 18yrs ago at Easter when they'd benefitted from about 5hrs in the Tavern (before security closed it down).

What is the betting that tomorrow will be "family friendly" & "dry"?

Was there yesterday (see my Trip Report) and actually it was 90% Traveller kids, I recon they could have sold alcohol without any issue.

I was just thinking looking at ridetimes and about what I quote last week. If I number crunched the time on rides vs time queuing this is what I worked out
I want to go on 12 attractions whille I attend for my 10 hour visit if each ride lasts for 2.5 minutes (which is generous for Rita and oblivion ) I have 30 minutes on the rides / attractions however looking at current wait on ridetimes I would be waiting 7 or so hours to do this (420 minutes) therefore that works out around 7% of time on rides and 93% of time waiting and that doesn't include time walking to each area. I've never thought of it like this before.

I have done such a calculation in the past to calculate if a season pass is worth the effort over 2 for 1's and Sun tickets.
I only had a Merlin pass for the season after the Smiler crash.
The cheap season pass really ruined things off peak.

No.
It wasn't the closure dates that bothered me, it was the total loss of off peak days that stopped me getting a pass.
Weekday closures at BPB hasn't taken away walk on riding, but it has at the Towers.
Simple as that.

I’ve had three visits this year on the season pass. All off peak mid week ranging from pretty quiet to deathly quiet. Late March, mid May and early September.

Plenty of walk on rides, including having to wait for riders before being able to dispatch trains on Oblivion and 13. Quiet days definitely still exist.

...but nothing like the frequency they used to be, sadly.
Unless the beloved ride times has been fibbing, perish the thought.

A change of subject but, why is the batching on Rita so ridiculous. Every other ride this season seems to have been given on my visits but Rita has always been dire. Literally one group from the regular queue per train at the moment...

I pray for the day someone goes rogue and falsifies the whole thing triggering upset amongst all the 'home watchers'. Adding Space Boat back in and assigning it a four hour queue, would be my first move.

(I will avoid the forum on that particular day)

I'm pretty sure that BPB has censored their data information to foil the Queue-times.com site.
Many rides now only show "operational" when they have a considerable queue.
And to think you were one of the few I trusted on here Rick...

Afaik its never had data in theme parks js which is a pretty sizable library for getting queue times, I believe they used reports of queue times.

You mean by using the username and passwords publicly visible as they are on the station iPads?
