Lots of Blackpool hotels and B&B's ask for a minimum of two nights, have done so for many decades.
Very difficult to make money out of one night stays, unless you increase room rates...which people don't want to pay...mainly because of a glut of rooms on 99% of days.
And one nighters are much more likely to be naughty.
Apparently.

Still terrible opening hours.

Still the best opening hours in the UK.

Best opening hours if you are comparing it to inland parks, but if you are comparing it to other seaside parks then they are the worst opening hours in the UK.

On the plus side they seem to have gone for an extra late night riding event next year, bringing it up to 9...

11th Apr
9th May
23rd May
25th Jul
8th Aug
29th Aug
26th Sept
24th Oct
31st Oct

(That's assuming there hasn't been a typo of course, which has been known!!)

Probably all going to be linked to fire works again so annoyingly it will be effectively a 9pm close, but at least its 1 more than this year.

I also wondered if they were going to move all the 7pm's to 6pm next year (after they closed early on a lot of the 7pm nights this year), but they seem to have stuck with 7pm for most of the summer season.

Still think 6pm closes on Saturday's in July and half term holidays is a bit early but overall it doesn't seem any worse than this year, which I will take as a positive.

I think at £220 for a family room they are making enough

Right, so lets ask @AstroDan now which one of these days will be the meet...?
25th July
8th Aug
29th Aug
... Because me mrs has been wanting to do a BPB summer meet for about a decade, but by the time meet dates get announced, she's always booked up on guide camp...

Why on a Thursday? Where are these dates from? Was this meant to be July 25th, a Saturday?

My mistake, sorry. There are no late night riding events in June. In my defence if you go to their website and click on opening times then scroll through the months it jumps from May to July when clicking on the forward arrow!

So the dates are...

11th Apr
9th May
23rd May
25th Jul
8th Aug
29th Aug
26th Sept
24th Oct
31st Oct

Still 9 though. (I have also updated my original post to correct my mistake.)

Same as this year, shutting a week earlier than previous years.
No money in later opening...they lose loads on open weekdays through all of low season.

Do we know any figures on park attendance Vs 2018? Only went on late night riding this year so not got a personal accurate comparison on crowd levels .

Don't think they publish their attendance figures but it would certainly make interesting reading.

The weather has not been too bad at all until September.
I'm out in it all day...20 miles from Blackpool.
Well, some mornings.

Are there any particular sales that Blackpool tend to do on hotel stays?

Hoping to get a 3 night stay in the BLVD hotel, usually I'd stay in the Hampton Hilton but last year I had to complain about the same things I complained about the year before, so decided I wouldn't be back.

Right now there is £20 off as I signed up, but doesn't seem particularly lucrative. Wondering if it is normal to have a sale on the hotels (like Merlin does).

Was hoping for park view, probably the deluxe executive room. Is the park view room noisy? Especially during morning testing? We won't be going to the park every day, so don't want to be woken up with the big one rattling by. Maybe costal rooms are a better plan?

Have a look on Ebookers mate, they're great usually for Blackpool, I use them all the time :) you build up loyalty with them so you get discounts on future bookings, and also they have good discount codes you can use :)

APP10 if you're booking on a phone, or BOOKNOW on a computer, knocks 10% off the price
