as ever there is only one way to find out - set up a poll on here
A poll on here is certainly a sound idea, but I'm not so sure about that; the active membership of TowersStreet ultimately represents an absolutely microscopic proportion of the people who visit Alton Towers, so any poll conducted on here perhaps wouldn't be quite as accurate as if a larger poll was conducted on a larger proportion of visitors to the park, for example.

Absolutely. We're an Alton Towers fansite, so 99 per cent of members would probably say Nemesis. :)

I do wonder when it is time for Nemesis to leave will they remove Corkscrew track from the entrance area and replace it with a section of Nemesis as it was the start of the SW coasters.

A park can have more than one intimidating ride. You can hear Nemesis roaring from in front of the Towers, let alone the noise it makes when you're stood outside it.
If noise intimidates you then yes. It's the sheer size and height of oblivion that makes it intimidating

It's intimidating due to its theme and the general atmosphere around the ride (which has since been somewhat diminished by the presence of The Smiler!). Nemesis is without a doubt one still one of the best ride experiences of any coaster in the world (certainly a top 15), and someday when you've been further afield than Blackpool and Alton Towers you'll come to appreciate that @Ethan.

I have. I've just been to Florida a week ago. Went to busch gardens, seaworld, universal and disney. And I'm afraid to say that all these coasters are better than nemesis:
Kumba, montu, sheikra, mako and hagrids

A lot of those are longer than Nemesis but I've done Florida five times and personally still find Nemesis the better experience. Its the right combination of G-Force and inversions and length.

If you ride Nemesis frequently, I think it's easy to forget just how sensational it is.

Agreed. I am guilty of taking Nemesis for granted. I've ridden it so many times that I know it like the back of my hand, but that does also mean that it does not really blow me away all that often.

But when you take a step back and think about it, there are not too many coaster that go pretty much bang, bang, bang, bang from start to finish without letting up.
