They nearly installed a Starflyer in the mid 00s (back when they were cool). But as I recall, word was they asked Funtime to adapt their design to suit the frequent high winds on the coast, which was something they couldn't deliver. The ride is a bit too ubiquitous now, and I'm sure that issue would still remain.

You may be right. I just feel that they need something fall, and with the 'wow' factor. In terms of High Winds - they would be an issue, but they put one up in Edinburgh every Christmas and it doesn't have as many closures as you would think.

Maybe a drop tower with enclosed cars would work? That way the wind wouldn't really affect it, although the extra weight could be an issue.

Ice blast is end of life. Wouldn't be sad to see it go
I don't think a "giant" one would fit there, would have to be a smaller version.

I'd love to see an Intamin Sky Jump, like Ikaros at Grona Lund.

There is a decent amount of space around Ice Blast, that is currently just open space.
They could certainly fit something with a bigger footprint there.

The other spot is over the top of Steeplechase (in the BPB way). They might need to move the carousel (there is a nice spot by the fountains), but it would not make the same impact sat back there.

The Carousel is supposedly moving anyway this winter, but to the Overpass - so a location nowhere near as good as yours.

Why are we suddenly talking about a replacement for Skyforce? The parks newest flat doesn't seem a likely candidate to go, it's a great fun ride too, one of my favourite flats out there.

Few rumours went round about it tbh and it’s not a very good ride they should sell it while they can get a good price for it

Not a good ride by what measure? It seems reliable, the right level of popular (always busy, never a crazy queue), but most of all it is as extreme as you want it to be; spin like a mad thing or a leisurely and quite sedate glide about. What's not to love?

The ride lost a lot of its appeal for me when they scrapped the spin count scoreboard.

The scoreboard made the ride a real challenge, especially if you were with a group of friends.

I don't agree that it's a particularly busy ride. The throughput is dire but it only really gets a big queue when the park is rammed.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the ride go in the next 2 to 3 years.

Skyforce lost its appeal for me when they removed the spin counter, took out most of the area speakers and (more recently) the wings have changed meaning it's more difficult to spin.

The Red Arrows shop is now used as a Speedy Pass outlet, says it all really.

It was great in 2015 but quickly declined IMO.

The spin counter on Aerospin at liseberg was broken when I last went. Thought that was a lot more fun ride than skyforce because of its height

It was pretty tricky already and then they made it harder, you don't see people spinning wildly anymore. These days it's a fairly dull and frustrating ride.
