Interesting news from Screamscape about one of Europe's most unique theme parks.

Screamscape said:
2015 - 2019 - Future Expansion Plans - (12/29/13) Disney & More reports that the Supervisory Board just approved a 46 million Euro expansion plan for Futuroscope that will see renewed content brought over the next 4-5 years to five of the park’s pavilions: Image Studio, Kinemax, Solido, Imax 3D and the Magic Carpet. The replacement on the way for the Magic Carpet has already been labeled as “a new major thrill ride”.

Bad news for DLP, especially if Futuroscope build their own Soarin' before WDS do! If now's not the time for WDS to get a California Adventure makeover, then when is...?

Thirteen is a great family coaster, so this should be a great first major coaster for Futuroscope! (I say major because the park already has a Sunkid Heege Butterfly.)

Bump!

Construction has begun on Futuroscope's coaster:

From what I have briefly seen it is going to be from Intamin, feature a tyre driven launch, a drop section and could well be a spinning coaster. Interesting.

That looks awful! Maybe it's the camera angle. Remember that photo of Red Force where the brake run looked really bumpy?

I've yet to ride it, but I was under the impression that it is really bumpy? ;)

Futuroscope's 2020 coaster is testing, and it is indeed going to have spinning cars:

Interesting!

They look like the new spinning cars from vekoma for Guardians of the Galaxy in Epcot
