London Entertainment Resort: All Discussion

Boris Johnson said he’d rather be dead in a ditch. People say stuff!

Brexit, the theme park....
  • The dead in the ditch dark ride
  • A "Eurofighter" ride, themed to the £350m red bus over the white cliffs...
  • Channel crossing blaster, laser shooter ride, defending our coastline
  • The pigs might fly, flying theatre
  • Trade deal, the maze
  • Find the medicine race challenge
  • The Nigel's Head, Wetherspoons
  • The Rees Mog front bench meet and greet
This park could be amazing!

I'm building a theme park guys on the old Camelot site. I need 4bn quid because it's going to be an incredible park and resort. I just need to raise the 4bn now.

See in 20 seconds I have done the same as the London Entertainment Resort team. Absolutely sweet FA basically.

If there's no money then there's no park. They don't have any money. The end.

I thought Keltbray, the firm behind the London 2012 Olympic Park, had pledged £25m? And isn't there a billionaire from Kuwait who has something to do with it?

Pledging £25m is not the same as investing £25m, it implies that it is contingent on other funding being secured.

Even if it had been handed over, what do you suppose £25m would buy them? The tarmac?

It's roughly the price of one decent-size coaster from B&M or Intamin!

Yep that's the longer link. Not that extraordinary, only a couple of minutes. Still, more effort went into that than getting a theme park started in Kent :p

It has been announced today that the London Resort will open in 2024. They have released a YouTube video explaining their plans and ideas for the years ahead, they say that despite all the ups and downs they're never going to give up trying to open the resort. Attractions will include a Maurer Spinner that will turn you around at breakneck speed. They are fully aware the park has been a let down over the years. The video confirms that they're not going to lie and are making a full commitment to opening the park.

The video can be found here.
