Fantasy Island

Visiting Fantasy Island for the first time this week so looking forward to having a look around and trying out the rides. Should be able to get to Bottons Pleasure Beach as well.

Top tip, get free parking by leaving your car in one of the Neighbouring caravan parks. Don't tell everyone.....

Had a fun few hours today, sadly Odyssey wasn't open but Millennium coaster certainly made up for it, managed to get on it 5 times. Nice park although I got lost trying to walk through the pyramid a few times.

Got the bus up to Bottons Pleasure beach as well and gave the coasters there a quick go. Queen Bee is certainly different!

Fantasy Island announced a (new!) development today - Ice Mountain is making it's way to Fantasy Island from Winter Wonderland.

Unfortunately, in a bit of a social media faux pas they claimed it was the worlds first indoor coaster. Naturally, they were quickly corrected and have changed it now.

As a permanent addition or?

Ice Mountain has always been at the park, just without the theming. It moves to WW every year.

That's why I put (new!) ...

I think they use a social media guru that’s never been to their park or any others!

I think Mellors have two mouses tho?

Fantasy Island have announced that their legendary Mondial Top Scan The Beast will close on Monday 1st April and move overseas. It will be replaced by Air Maxx 360.

Fantasy Islands management would like to announce that The Beast ride will be leaving the park on Monday 1st April. We know that The Beast has given so many visitors an exciting, stomach-churning experience during its time here at Fantasy Island but we think that it’s only fair to share that exhilarating excitable feeling worldwide!

The Beast 'from the East' will be jetting off to warmer climates but of course, we wouldn’t leave our #FantasyFans without something new…check out Air Maxx 360 a BRAND-NEW attraction to Fantasy Island. We’re sure this new attraction will be a hit with our loyal customers! What do you guys think? Dare you brave this thrill-seeking ride?

We are determined to deliver customers with new exhilarating experiences year after year, to further improve Fantasy Island, ensuring it remains the best family day out on the East Coast.
The park and its owners are committed to continuing with developments, and we hope you’re all excited to join us this season.

Interestingly Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach have now announced that they will no longer be able to open their planned Air Maxx 360.

Hmm...

Now that is interesting. I believe that The Beast is going to Fantasy Island Dubai, so would have thought the Air Max 360 is coming from there.

The Airmax 360 was originally meant to go to Yarmouth, however it seems that the owners are the first cousins of the owners of Fantasy Island so they will be sending it there. Meaning Yarmouth are left without a new ride.

Been to Skegness this week. Fantasy Island is a decent little park. Good value at £17 on the day (£15.30 in advance). I wouldn't recommend a special trip but certainly worth a visit if you're in the area. Oddyssey was a bit bumpy but Millennium is great fun. Some decent flat rides as well. And a distinct lack of fences - I couldn't get over the fact that people can just walk in and the trains are flying over visitor's heads without any protective netting. It's like going back about 30 years. There were no queues but the rides were on rotation which, I think, is fair enough when it's not that busy. Watch out for the flies though - they were everywhere by mid-afternoon.

Not that I've heard, although I'm happy to make a few rumours up if it will help the off season go by a little quicker.
