Theme Park Worldwide

Back on topic, I actually enjoyed Shawn's Centre Parcs video and it's made myself and my missus book a trip to our local centre parcs.

I agree with this actually. The water park looks pretty smart as well. We are also considering a little trip to centre parcs now, before we head to Orlando in October.

Yeah, its not something I'd ever considered before - and it's actually a lot cheaper than I imagined!

I was suprised at the price as well, althought i had only ever looked at lodges. Those apartments look pretty smart. I will definitely be getting a bike as well.

It’s fairly cheap mid week out of schools holidays - there is certainly a lot of profiteering that goes on when the kids are off

We're looking at first May bank holiday and it's less than we expected. £130ish each for 4 adults for 3 nights seems reasonable to me!

I too found his blog interesting as Elvedon is only 30 mins up the road from me and I used to be a regular entertainer there spanning over 20 years, so I know the place very well. I've never stayed there overnight, but I was allowed to use the facilities including the swimming pool. It is a lovely park.

These are types of videos i gravitate towards. I enjoy watching the travel and hotel vlogs more than the park ones, although the park ones are still good.

For the USA parks I find the Air Time Thrills my experience @ videos excellent. He sums up a park well on 10 mins whilst I find when the TPW vlogs run to two hours the salient points get diluted

That's why I often watch the vlogs at 1.5x speed as he tends to waffle a lot.

Or... there's a lot of discounting goes in when the kids are at school, just depends on your perspective.

It's not profiteering, it's just supply and demand. It's out and out cheap during term times and I'd imagine if those were the prices all year it wouldn't be a viable business.

I’ve never visited but I’ve also got the impression that the really expensive part of Center Parcs are the additional activities. If you just want to stay and swim it’s not too bad, but add cycles, archery, high ropes and the costs can add up quite significantly.

Yeah that's what I've realised now - which for us is perfect really as we have little interest in most of the activities!

The very fact they can afford to discount by the amount they do speaks profiteering to me. Supply and demand is an element I agree, but whenever we look to book last minute there are always plenty of accommodation types available to book.

When I spoke to Shawn at the Drayton Manor auction he agreed that his videos were too long and he was looking at doing up to a hour long now as I said to him he will get more views if the video was just highlights of your day and was cut to 30 to 45 mins max

Reaction videos are incredibly popular nowadays; I think it’s just a modern video trend. Outside of YouTube, I suppose it’s also been made popular by shows like Gogglebox.

Even as a teenager of the current era, though, I must admit that it’s a trend I don’t entirely get. I like hearing other people’s opinions on things, but I’ve never felt the urge to watch reaction videos for some reason.

Watching a video of a man watching a video of himself making a video for others to watch him on video
