Scarefest 2012

I got all sorts said to me in the Sanctuary :p Looking forward to seeing if they will pick on me when I return this weekend.

I remember Dr Kelman picked you out every time our group went through, the second time he said something like "Oh it's you again". :p

YES! And he also kept asking me if I thought he was mad, and every time I said he was :p The only time he didn't ask me was the second time I did the Sanctuary on Sunday evening.

Perhaps Lottie just has a distinctive/startling face? ;)

HEY! At least I don't get a stamp on my forehead from the gardener ;) :p

Has anyone managed to get their hands on a full version of the Carnival soundtrack yet? In high quality I mean, not that crappy one from the flash game they had last year.

:)

Towers have just tweeted that something is being projected onto the towers tonight, I'm guessing its the sw7 face?

Yes, tonight there was the SW7 (MOJ) face projection onto the Towers. It's very good, the eyes twirl,it's quite hypnotic to be honest!

:)

Yup can confirm also, was not going to say owt and ruin a surprise for those weekend campers!

It's really kool man! Much could still be done better, but this little gem is brilliant ;D

Really setting a tone for SW7 this!

I'd assume it's a more personal experience. With each guest getting more of an unique experience with more contact with actors.

As with normal runs you're in a group so not everyone gets such a 'personal' experience if that makes sense.

From that page:

"Alton Towers ‏@altontowers

@OZZZY118 you'll be in the last slot of the day... the patients and staff will not leave you alone... they will not follow the rules..."

Sounds interesting, if you also check that page link out above, you'll notice a post not long ago stating

"Luke Williams ‏@OfficialLuke

@altontowers worst day ever today!!! 8 hours and 4 rides!! Awful"

Trip reports could be interesting for the forumators! Hope it wasn't too bad guys!!

Sounds interesting. I wonder if 'they will not follow the rules' points towards actors touching you... although guests will no doubt have to sign a disclaimer if that is the case. 12 places is a very minimal amount mind, especially given the amount of guests at Alton. I wonder if any members that are on resort this weekend are going to try it out.

4 rides in 8 hours is pretty bad. Although I wonder if it was as bad for others. Guess we'll be finding out soon.

I reckon so James, can't imagine that being kept quiet!!

Saying that, it is the first day proper of Scarefest, more largely publicised due to the new ride and it's association.

12 sounds right, that's the standard walk through - so it's clearly one group only.

One thing is certain, if I was on resort, I would be waiting for to buy that ticket! It is a good maze, you could just tell it was new with too many gaps between action, but some very clever pieces of theming!

Adding that extra dimension could make it way better, the "patients" certainly interacted with our group, that was led by a new friend I met on park (whilst waiting for other people to join a queue at Carnival, I did NOT want to do it first time, with literally no one else haha!), and followed by her group lol, a very pretty lass whom had nerves of steel!!

"Oooooh, preeeeetty smiiiiiiiiiiile" - right in her face, all she did was chuckle - oh and she answered back a lot, which tested the actors, was glad to see they weren't fazed and it led to some entertaining stand offs! Each time, she was straight to the front of the line! ;D

If somehow they read this post, thanks again! (Off topic a bit, sorry!)

One of those times you think, damn, I should of kept in touch with that group as we had a great laugh!
