I was expecting something on sport, perhaps more on that tomorrow.

Yeah, so basically, you can do more exercise and drive further to exercise and even relax outdoors.
What did he say on that? I must have phased out.

So provided UK numbers continue to show a positive trend, then parks could open in time for the busy summer holidays.

There will be more details tomorrow. I think the BBC said there will be a 50 page document to fill in the blanks.

Also the Prime Minister said that the fines would increase for those who flout the rules.

Can't remember exactly to be honest but he did make a point of it being OK to travel to exercise. I know we've 'sort of' been allowed to do that already but it's the first time I've heard him say it but without seeing it in writing I suppose we can't be sure about exactly how far we can go this time. I suppose your question will be clarified quite quickly as a lot of people will be wondering the same. New measures are from Wednesday though apparently so no driving to Cornwall just yet :)

The roads on Wednesday are going to be gridlocked...

I’m confused - so we can move around more go to parks etc but can’t spend any form of time with friends or family? I haven’t seen my parents since mid Feb

We’re all seeing very limited numbers of people (colleagues at a distance, supermarket staff safely) so the risk is between ourselves. More clarity needed I think

Found it, he said "You can sit in your local park and drive to other destinations" - interesting!

Still nothing on when we can meet family members but it’s ok to sit next to a stranger within 2 meters in the park from Wednesday

What part of maintaining social distancing are you struggling with. The message was clear.

My big problem with what he said was the relaxation on exercise. Now I know it’s everyone but i think it’s shown that the general public can’t be trusted sometimes. It just opens up the flood gates for parks to be filled etc.
Remember the law never set a limit on how long or how many times you could exercise.
All it seems Norris has said in effect is the guidelines will now begin to match the law.

There's hardly anyone to enforce anything anyway so people will just do what they want to an extent. If you think it's safe to see your family who is going to stop you apart from yourself? Our neighbours have already probably been obviously breaking the rules anyway so they're not going to care.

BarryZola we have some odd neighbours the last thing I need is police involvement just because they can’t keep their beaks out

I do think clarity is needed - you can pretty much travel anywhere to exercise but only with the people you live with
Personally I think the lack of clarity is asking for trouble

Nothing in the plan

your telling me that it’s fine to social distance with people you work with but not social distance with friends and family?

I don’t expect to go up to them and hug them ffs

That’s my point Spark the majority of us will still maintain a degree of sensibility in seeing relatives. I would only have them over in our garden where we can keep some space between us. That’s not allowed but going to the beach next weekend is? Crowded with strangers all two metres apart. I know what seems more sensible

Technically you could, say meet your parents in a park for example. However you need to apply social distancing and stay 2m from each other.

I agree though, more clarity is needed.

Us poor buggers in Wales are even more confused with the Welsh government going off on their own tangent. We need clarity and unity with central government.
