Nothing too surprising there - indoor attractions and anything "hands-on". Thirteen can't run partially loaded so was never going to open.

Alton Towers isn't the surprising one, Thorpe Park is. They've only got 14 rides on the app!

Are the others all confirmed to be closed?

Back to Towers, does it seem odd to anyone else that Marauders is open but Battle Galleons closed? Both involve turning a handle, in both cases it's not strictly required but not doing so vastly diminishes the ride experience.

I assume that the problem with Battle Galleons is the water, is it known how long Covid-19 survives in water?

Battle Galleons could just be a cost saving, its probably not the most popular attraction unless its very hot. Although the water itself shouldn't be a concern, there are a lot of touch points on the ride and it encourages movement on the ride as well.

My guess is we may see Duel open before Hex, its one group per vehicle and the queue can be held outside if needed. Whereas the show elements of Hex involve standing in the dark where its harder to tell how close you are to others.

If Cuckoo Cars isn't open, I find it bizarre that they were showing it being cleaned in that new video? Surely doesn't make sense as with DW, Dungeons and Hex off as well that entire section will surely be inaccessible?

Dark Forest is going to be fun this season...

With only Rita open beyond the Towers it's going to be difficult for crowd control when Rita breaks down. Also with Rita as the automatic headline attraction of the area, could they possibly bring back the Thunder Rock Rally music and make the area a little more upbeat opposed to the rather depressing Dark Forest audio constantly playing on loop and reminding everyone of what isn't open.

Also what does this mean for the Wicker Man preshow? I'm assuming that will be shut, so will they just let guests through the door at the other end of the baggage hold?

I was thinking it would be nice if the pre show entry and exit doors remained open with markers through the buildings and the projection mapped head showing just on a loop. At least you'd still get something from that room that way. But it's all dependant on wether they are permitted to have queue lines inside for that period of time.

I don't think you can enter without passing through, but they might hold people outside for a short period so there aren't too many people indoors.

The app continues to be updated. The freestyle refill locations have been added.

Various food locations are now listed as takeaway only - Corner Coffee, Coffee Lounge, Pizza Pasta & Just Chicken.

Rollercoaster Restaurant is only open for hotel guests with bookings.

Cloud Cuckoo Land BK and Woodcutters are closed, as potentially are some shops too such as Galactica and Katanga Cargo.

How are you going to exit Galactica if the shop’s closed, out of interest? Is there a door at the side of the building that you can just walk out of, out of interest?

Depending on the number of guests in the park, this all sounds like it could lead to issues finding enough places to sit and eat. If you get take-away Pizza or chicken, there is nowhere nearby to sit and eat. I don't think it would be a good idea to offer a buffet, but spaced out seating with waited service would probably be a better option. Woodcutter could also operate with spaced out seating and full waited service. I do think that counter service in the Cuckoo BK would be difficult as there may be people queuing close together to order and making the seating distanced enough may be hard.
Its going to be particularly difficult to eat when its raining.

They could close the shop and have it just an exit.

I suppose they could remove the merchandise and block it off like they did with Oblivion’s shop, couldn’t they?

Although that does also raise the question of what are they going to do with the other rides that exit directly into a gift shop e.g. Smiler, Wicker Man, Duel?

Well duels not an issue as its probably shut.
My guess is they will either have distance markers or shut the shops.
Now the real question is how do they deal with picsolve.

Exactly as has been pointed out, if Th13teen is planned to be closed because of covid measures, why does it state online:

Guests over the age of 6 will be required to wear a face mask on the following rides:

  • Nemesis, Galactica, Oblivion, The Smiler, Wicker Man, Rita, TH13TEEN, Enterprise, Blade, Runaway Mine Train, Marauder’s Mayhem

Because they are planning for future loosing of the rules. It's to cover themselfs for the future.
