Coke Freestyle Now Launched

They are about £15 for the first day anyway on the regular non-passholder price? Then £6 for re-activations.

I would just give passholders a discounted reactivation, say £4 a visit instead of the £6 and maybe a cup for £10 to start with.
£12.
I know what would be nice but let's be real, merlin would.charge a premium for a multi site vessel.

I feel that I've been left behind by inflation - I've not had an annual drink cup since they cost about £20 (with free refills).

Think I'll just stick to water
Sensible. I must admit i'm the same, or get a bottle of coke out of the machine. Never get through more than two bottles so cheaper than getting a refill cup, and you don't have to lug it around all day either.

The new freestyle system is a big jump in price, the old cups were £5 then £6 and most recently about £8, so a jump up to £12 is quite large. But there is now the option to reactivate for £6 which keeps costs down a bit if you visit more than once a season. But that £12 does seem extortionate.
We paid at Universal Orlando as we knew we were going to both parks so we can reactivate and in Florida you do normally want a lot to drink.

I also usually just buy bottles or drinks with meals only anyway, I don't think I spend enough to make the refills cheaper (you would need at least three bottles generally to cover the old cup price).

Thinking about it, there were many places you can't use the refill cups (Rollercoaster Restaurant) or don't get a discount on the price that includes drinks (Pizza/Pasta) or offer a drink in the meal price (Burger Kitchen) so they don't seem that great.

Little known but they can add a name to a vessel so it appears on the screen.

Mr Pedantic here.
We shouldn't use such terms to avoid confusion.
0000 or midnight.
1200 or noon.
12.01am fine.12.01pm fine.
12am and 12pm cause great confusion.
Local government national disaster practice instruction..
About 1989, so probably decades out of date.

Lots of people think the opposite apparently Mako.
12 am daytime, 12pm nighttime.
If you listen to the shipping forecasts, they never use 12am or pm.

Thankfully the Australian Broadcasting Corporation foresaw this discussion, and so detailed why 12:00pm doesn't even exist.

The real question is what time do Towers actually turn the machines off? Thorpe frequently turned them off last year right on closing, with just a single machine (sometimes) left running in The Dome.
THORPE is a special case with where the hotel is.
Also @Craig and co, do we need a seperate freestyle thread?

I've moved some of the Coke Freestyle posts into their own topic (there's frankly far too many dotted to move them all, but you get the jist!). Just a few things though:

To make things easier for the team, please use the report button if you'd like to request things to be moved/dealt with in future. That way all team members are notified rather than just me being tagged.

I think we can very safely say that we all know that 12:00:00AM means midnight in the case of what's displayed on the machines. I don't think we need to get bogged down in the technicalities of whether it's right or wrong now that we've had a myriad of posts about it :p

Ah will do, wasn't sure how best to get admins attention!

I’ve yet to try it at towers yet but I noticed the other day all the ice pushers have been removed from the freestyle machines, which is a shame as I have known in the past for the drinks to not be really cold.

I guess it must be a corona thing as I’m sure they were there during the buy out days.
