It's just an Arrow. They were quite poorly designed by todays standards and technology. Arguably that is where some of the charm comes from.

Poorly is probably a wrong word. Primitive is probably better.

Don't forget Magnum was designed and built by eye as they were putting it together at Cedar Point whereas the Big One was computer designed.

Magnum originally ran with up stop pads instead of upstop wheels as well.

At the end of the day their upscaled mine trains.

The older trains on the national were so much better than the current ones. Even the lap bars are terrible, should've got ones like Racer (at Kennywood) or Megaphobia instead.

There are some incredibly jolty transitions on Magnum but the rattle is minimal, it's definitely not rough.

It's *such* a great coaster, the difference is staggering considering it actually came before the Big Juan.

I know the ride itself isn't too rough, but Avalanche's restraints are evil.

They try their absolute hardest to squish you to a pulp by tightening during the ride. It's so bad my stomach hurts when I get off.

I didn’t find them particularly uncomfortable, personally. I think some slight discomfort could be gained from the riding position in general, but I personally really enjoy Avalanche, and I don’t think it’s anywhere near being unbearably uncomfortable for me.

I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but Avalanche is quite comfortably my 2nd favourite coaster at Blackpool Pleasure Beach behind Icon; so much fun!

Obviously the restraints are only an issue if you're sat at the front of the car. Need to remember that next time I go, although I'd feel awkward for making whoever's riding with me sit in the danger seat. :p

No choice, bigger person at the back so if you go with someone bigger than you you get squished. That or ride alone and don't share the car

Did not see any speedypassers on park at all today.
The speedypass sales desk also appeared closed.
Completely acceptable.
Sure it wont be long though...
Photobooths about to reopen.
Despite the best efforts of staff, distancing and mask wearing is not as good as was in previous visits.
Icon walk on after two pint breakdown.
Ride staff impressed with my consumption.
Dipper queue monitor attacked by gull.

Pleasure Beach have apparently started selling Speedy Pass again.

Terrible decision in my opinion, with the reduced seating on the rides and number of people they are letting in, this will make things far worse.
That’s the first UK park to sell Fastrack I think? I’m surprised as I thought Merlin would be as I know Thorpe & Legoland have Fastrack in operation for those that are entitled to it but you can’t currently buy it otherwise.
