Theme Park Worldwide

My biggest fear for any channel is that they have to somehow muster the enthusiasm to keep on returning to middle-of-the-road or downright lousy theme parks.

I mean, I just about made it through a day at Movie Park Germany last week.

The concept of visiting Pleasurewood Hills trying to get excited about "Marble Madness" or "Wipeout" annually makes me shiver.

:p
Yeah, i know what you mean, i often skip the repeat vlog visits to the middle of the road parks. Have enjoyed the first time visits to parks though, these are great biggest i'd probably never go to "Petittes" due to it being a family park and i don't have kids - but enjoyed seeing it

But surely as theme park enthusiasts, any park visit is exciting and special, regardless of park? At least that’s what I think, anyway!

Being a theme park enthusiast doesn't mean you have to be excited about every single park you visit. The concept of visiting Gulliver's Valley would not excite me in the slightest. Nor does a visiting to Efteling example, when Toverland is an hour down the road. It's all about personal preference!

Very true; that might be down to the fact I’d say I’m yet to visit a theme park I genuinely disliked, as well as the fact theme park visits aren’t hugely frequent occurrences for me compared to some other enthusiasts!

However, I’ve got to admit that some of the parks Shawn is currently ticking off (such as Crealy and the Pettitts animal place) have me noticeably less excited from looking at them than the likes of Alton Towers and Blackpool Pleasure Beach... not to say they don’t look nice for what they are and what they try to be, but the scale just isn’t comparable for me.

I usually only watch his uk vlogs now after I told him at the Drayton Manor auction that his videos were too long and puts people off watching them if they 90 mins long if you make them half that time up to a hour max your get more views and now his videos are 45 mins long on average. His European and America vlogs I only really watched the Disney and Universal videos as there the only parks I like to visit myself or want to visit when my kids are older.
His Milky Way vlog 2 years ago made me decide to go there during our holiday.

I skip through any vlog that's longer than 30 mins, no matter the vlogger. Ziggy's Blast Quest (formerly Clone Zone) at Milky Way look really cool.

See, I like Expedition Theme Park! I think he collates the info together really well into a nice sort of chronological order, and I don’t think some of the bits of info in some videos are exactly easy finds! He reminds me of a British Defunctland, and I also love that channel too!

With regard to Super Enthused’s UK park videos, nice to see a first timer’s perspective on the British parks, but how did she manage to get over here from the USA with travel restrictions? Did she move to the UK or something?

I am partial to Shawn’s vlogs, but even I have to admit that I skip through sections of them; I very rarely watch the whole thing, and I mainly skip to the sections where he gives his opinion for the most part. I’ve got to admit I’ve been watching him quite a bit less lately, though.

In terms of other YouTube channels, I think Coaster Studios is a really good one. I think Taylor comes across really well in his videos, and I really like his in-depth reviews he does of rides; I’m a huge fan of the way he breaks things down into more in-depth segments!

Shawn's vlogs are just too long. I remember in the Hansa-Park vlog he ended up talking so much that he missed the entrance to Karnan and he ended up still filming the whole piece and the rest of it as well. The whole video was 1 hour and 34 minutes long i mean, who has that much time to watch it before covid?

She quarantined for 14 days on arrival in the UK, there is a vlog about it on the channel.
