Chessington World of Adventures Resort

ATH has been in managed decline for quite some time - poor cleanliness, reduced F&B offerings, declining

that’s why i said they’ve got the basics right at ATH. It’s the things that used to be awesome extras like going the extra mile on food service and entertainment that need fixing. But the standard hotel stuff is still just fine.
Although it isn’t great overall when a theme park hotel is just comparable to a Premier Inn, it sounded like Chessington is doing worse than Premier Inn.

Remind me is the pi literally next door to CWOA open yet? If it is they have literally no excuse.

Of course, the limited number of people in the park due to COVID, mean guests should never be faced with a queue long enough to require fastrack.

Wait, when did fastrack for Rattlesnake become a thing? The queue for that was an utter misery anyway with it's capacity of about 300/hr. Along with Tomb Blaster you could probably sell enough fastrack to run at 100% FT/RAP on busy days, with anyone else unable to ride at all.

Rattlesnake had Fastrack for many years, at least 6 - they queue at the exit.

I’m surprised that people are surprised XXXX ride has Fastrack, it’s Merlin they’d do Fastrack for the toilet if they could!

It baffles me how mercenary Thorpe and Chessington are with Fast Track compared to Towers. I’m not saying Towers are angels here, just that the southern parks have always been so much more aggressive with fast track.

Im sure there's more to it, but I dont think it's too much of a generalisation to say down south families are willing to spend ridiculous amounts of money on hot air, so they know they can drive profits up through things like fastrack. Even if its throughput nightmare (a concept that seems to be lost on a lot of UK parks)

Rattlesnakes breaks just about cut me in half last week end. I've been to Chessington twice and there is just something about it that I don't like. I find the whole lay out claustrophobic and confusing.

I've got to say with the queue times and having a MAP I just paid up for Fast Track for a few rides. I do think the aggressive pram pushers and people with those massive trollies they pull around were a bigger pain in the backside here. I just don't understand how you need a big wagon thing that can 3 kids and half your fridge. Bring a backpack, put it in a locker and stop clogging up the pathways.

Hey guys! I'm visiting tommorow to mainly look around the zoo etc, have there been any major changes to the zoo this year or location of animals etc?

Thanks :)

Oh okay ha ha, does Zufari still have the section in the cave at the end?

Also does anyone know if there are any rides single riders can't go on? Similar to rapids at Towers?

Cave finale is still there (rarely works properly though), I had no problems with being a single rider when I went except that the park has been stupid busy throughout the summer. I'm not sure how busy it will be tomorrow as some are back at school.

Chessington social media claim no to dragons fury but reports from guests (including one here) say otherwise.

That's great thank you :)

I've never been to a park by myself, even though I'm mainly going for the zoo there's a couple of rides I'd wanna go on :)
