Legoland Windsor

Do we know whether they're putting in 1 theatre or 2? I'm pretty sure the Florida version is a single screen whilst Cali has 2.

If they're putting 2 in it'll be one of the highest capacity rides in the park, if it's just 1 then queues will almost certainly be a problem.

I’m assuming it’s just the one theatre, they are also getting two of those “poppy tower” rides like europa, Phantasialand, etc have.

Didn’t they get rid of one of those a couple of years back? Any new rides welcome though really.

Just a word of warning; if any of you were thinking of booking Legoland reservations with your MAPs, there are no weekends left in September and no remaining days of the summer holidays. Legoland tickets are clearly very popular; definitely book early if wanting to visit!

We ended up going for 4th October; will be my first visit to Legoland since 2017, so I’m looking forward to gaining a fresh perspective on the park!

Just returned from a weekend across the parks down south , and we were largely impressed besides for LEGOLAND .

While the majority of staff were fantastic , I would advise ANYONE to avoid Mia’s Riding Adventure like the plague . There was an advertised wait time of 20 minutes , and maybe 100 people waiting in the line . Unfortunately , it became clear this would not be a 20 minute wait .

We boarded after 50 minutes . watching for dispatches , the ride cycled 3 times before we could board - there were no technical delays announced . When boarding , nobody tells you how much space to leave , which meant there was musical chairs on the platform after letting everyone on . By a generous estimate of a dispatch every 10 minutes , there was a staggering throughput achieved of (maybe)

180 pph

for those unfamiliar , this ride also offers Reserve and Ride access

Sort it out!

If you want a good disko then go to Paultons. At least their one isn't Lego Friends themed!

Legoland (and Towers) have been nominated for being the best attraction for group's of families and children in 2020.

Presumably being closed for the majority of 2020, and then being unable to accept group bookings for most of the time that they were actually open, helped them get the nomination this year.

The ride type is completely irrelevant , any attraction at a major theme park shouldn’t be so far below it’s possible throughout , it’s disgraceful operations at a park that seems to otherwise be handling Covid operations exceptionally well

I was more commenting on the theming which is unsuitable for a thrill ride not the operations which I agree are dire.

I'd rather have Lego Friends theming than no theming at all but... erm... maybe that's just me?

Pretty sure it has a 1.2m height restriction as well so I don't exactly foresee this supposed issue of toddlers riding it based on the theme.

Clearly the throughput is currently an issue.

Visited the park today, a few unfortunate criticisms from my visit:
- Clearly advertised at the entrance that the park was sold out for all ticket types today, a good job as it was extremely busy. Not just ride queue lines but also general pathways throughout the park
- Very little in the way of social distancing measures - those that had been introduced (markers in the queue for The Dragon, Viking River Splash) were largely ignored, others totally non-existent (Duplo Dino Coaster has a cattle-pen with no markers, announcements or social distancing).
- Reliability was extremely poor. The Dragon and Viking River Splash were serial offenders (though not the only ones) and were closed more often than open throughout the day. This obviously had a knock-on effect on the business of the rest of the park.
- The VIP scheme is a bit of a joke. We got evacuated from The Dragon and told to return via the 'Reserve & Ride' entrance later on, waited a fair while in that line, only to be asked to stand aside to allow 'VIP guests' to get on before us, essentially fastracking the fastrack queue. Mental.

With all that being said, it was my most positive experience of Legoland Windsor to date. Perhaps it is just a park that rewards those interested in having a chilled day out rather than rushing from ride to ride as I have in the past, or perhaps it is genuine improvement, but I did have a reasonable time. Miniland was in good condition, looking a lot fresher than it has in the past and is clearly being well cared for. All of the theming around the park, in fact, was clearly maintained to a standard not seen elsewhere in the UK. Excellent.

It's a pleasant environment and I would love to return on a quiet day; the park itself is good but only getting on six rides in a day isn't really acceptable. Operations were very poor and too many guests had been allowed in, for sure.

I'm surprised Dan you haven't come across the VIP fast-fastrack before. It's been happening ever since the pass was introduced. Causes no end of problems!
I guess though you only see it noticeably at Legoland because the priority queues can get so out of control! What with lower capacity rides and an understandably larger number of RAP users.
