Phantasialand: General Discussion

I'm still not much of a fan, as I don't think it looks appealing for a hotel, but it is looking slightly better than it was before now that they have added more detailing:

Having the office block immediately to the right which has no detailing at all really does not help with the look.

I had the same problem with the Hotel Matamba, that the front doors are too non-descript. The actual doors don't look like the entrance, they could be a fire exit or something. At least the Chinese themed hotel has a little bridge and some grandness in front of the entrance doors. It doesn't help that there are no glass panels in the doors either.

They should let ivy grow across the front of that hotel - would look alright.

The second photo almost has a touch of Colosseo about it.

Wow - so very Phantasialand to announce the opening, albeit soft opening, on the morning that it is going to happen. I cannot wait to see some photos and videos of the area, it has been a very long time in the making.

I have to say, the room interiors don’t look as cramped as I thought they would, and they’ve done a nice job getting them themed in a compact space. I wouldn’t turn my nose up at it if the opportunity to stay there came up.

It’s a bit of an upgrade from Thorpe Shark, don’t you think?..

The rooms look lovely from a thematic point of view and have so many detailings. I'm sure it would be a very cool experience, especially for one night, but not sure it is my cup of tea. Still rather cramped! Also, where are the bathrooms!?

Plenty of information on Phantasialand's website now, albeit all in German for the time being. Including this awesome photo:

Sounds like hotel rooms are available from 24th September. Rooms sleep 2 people and will cost €399 per night, but for this you will get the following:
  • 2 days park entrance
  • Fastrack for F.L.Y.
  • 3 course dinner
  • Breakfast
  • Private entrancr to the park
  • Exclusive access to the hotel bar

Even including park entry and dinner €399 feels a little high, but I assume at the moment it’s a limited VIP type thing with the priority access etc.
Think we paid €170 for Hotel Matamba, plus tickets and dinner would have still been less than that package. Depends how much you want the second day and the fastrack.
