Which Hotel?

I had my first ever trip to Europa park last year and stayed at Kronasar, which was only hotel with standard rooms available at the time as was a fairly late booking. After going to America a lot in recent years, this years Florida trip was cancelled and with the way the world is at the moment have decided to delay Florida to summer 2022. Instead planning to visit some European parks on a road trip in Summer 2021, most of which have never been to before (Efteling, Toverland, Phantasialand, Europa and DLP).

Enjoyed staying at Kronasar but this time would like to stay closer to the main park, defiantly want to stay onsite, I like the look of both Bell Rock and Colosseo, for people that have stayed at both which would you recommend? or is there not really anything between the two?

I’ve actually stayed in all the hotels and would say Bell Rock is my favourite. I would say the room layout and design is very similar to Kronasar so if you liked the rooms they are very similar.

The other hotels have a variety of rooms, they are all very nice but of course some of the hotels are a lot older than Bell Rock and Kronasar, but they all have air con, etc. But if the cost of a different hotel is much cheaper then you might as well stop there and use the money to spend on the hotel. No matter what hotel you stop in you can use all the other hotel facilities anyway.

Thanks I think I like the look of the Bell Rock Rooms more than colosseo. However will see what the price difference is between the cheaper onsite hotels when 2021 rooms released.

Haven’t stayed at Colosseo, but we did stay at Bell Rock over winter and loved it. A definite step up from Alcazar which we stayed at the time before, and still really liked, but Bell Rock was next level.

Did you sign up to the free Hotel Friends loyalty programme? If not, you can sign up here and if you use the same email as your last booking it should automatically add your last stay. One of the benefits of signing up is they release the next seasons rooms to members a week before everyone else. 2021’s haven’t come out yet, so you should be in time for that.

Early booking means you are more likely to bag an ‘economy’ room at Bell Rock, which are the same as regular rooms, except no view. But it knocks the price well down, it took ours down to a price more inline with Alcazar as opposed to Bell Rock.

Thanks I have joined the hotel friends. After the first visit last year, thought the park and the resort were fantastic so will certainly hopefully be many more trips in the years to come.

I stayed at the Hotel Bell Rock last year and Hotel Colosseo this year. Both are excellent and you won't be disappointed with either.

Things are slightly different at the moment due to Coronavirus restrictions but this is well catered for in all the hotels, restaurants and bars. However make sure you book the evening meals and breakfast (you can do this on the website before you go).

In terms of the rooms they were both spacious, well maintained and clean. The Colosseo is slightly cheaper which is why we stayed there this year.

Here's a couple of photos of each.

Thanks, The trip will be next August. Want to get it booked as soon as rooms available with it bring school hols.

Has anyone stopped in the economy rooms at colosseo? Just wondering how noisy they are from the bar above? what time does the bar stay open until?

You will find there is some minor "sub woofer" style noise audible if the bar is open - especially at weekends (Fri/Sat) as it is open later and there is live singing. BUT if you plan on being up in the bars and not in bed until midnight or later, frankly you will be fine and it's worth the saving. Ask for a Piazza view and you will get one of the best views in the entire resort.

I have used them on several occasions.
