Been wanting to play this game for years but didn't have the PC to run it. I could easily afford to buy one but I simply refused to pay the money it would take to run this game. Not only that but I sit in front of a PC all day for my job so the last thing I wanted was to then do that in my free time too.

So happy I can finally play it, even if it's a slightly watered down version for Xbox. Will be getting the Series X in the new year too so I can upgrade for free which is sweet.

Now just to get through the next 4hrs of work and then I can have some PlanCo fun. Yay!

Have it downloaded on my Xbox; looking forward to seeing how it performs in a more casual manner later this evening. Slightly irritated however that Frontier waited until they had purchasers' money before deciding to inform them of the limiting cap on items, and also that it would be available from day one on the Xbox Game Pass...

I wanted to play it so bad I thought about buying a decent PC to just play it (and at the time I needed a new laptop anyway), but I was reviled to find out it was coming on consoles! Now the only thing I need to decide on is buy it on PS4 soon or wait until I get a PS5.

Mines downloading right this moment. I’ve seen mostly positive feedback with navigating with a control pad which I’m relieved to hear.

Can’t wait to build some sexy B&M Wing coasters :p:p:p

Pre ordered it last week and it arrived on Saturday, 4 days before release!

Works suprisingly well on Controller, takes some getting used to but haven't had any issues. Be prepared to accidentally delete a lot of your creations though.

Currently working my way through Career mode and learning the ropes before hitting Sandbox.

I love Frontier but I do think it was naughty of them not to reveal there's a parts limit until 24 hours before release.

I'm not surprised, I knew there'd be some sort of limit to ensure the game runs well. The console editions of Minecraft also have similar limits.
For most players I don't think it'll be a problem but I'm sure for some it would have effected their decision as to which version they got.

Is there a way to use the career scenarios as a sandbox park like you can do in rct3?

I bought it for PS4 and it's pretty cool. I just messed about in sandbox for a little bit but I think I'll be getting a mouse and keyboard asap.

Building coasters is fine on controller but I'm starting to think that getting into the final details when creating scenery will require mouse and keyboard.

My first thoughts too.

Controller was sufficient yesterday as I navigated the tutorial. Not going to be enough for the complex stuff though.

Brilliant game though.

Loving the #rockwork on this game. Much easier to theme things when you CBA to fiddle about with the props.

First coaster built on Sandbox was always gonna be an RMC really wasn't it...

Thanks pretty pleased with it. Some of the transitions are a tad jolty but I guess that takes a bit of practice.
Your transitions will likely become more realistic with time; you should have seen some of my first coasters in Planet Coaster compared to what I build now!

I'm curious if the transitions are any better on the console version because it's always been an issue on PC. You can make a silky smooth coaster but it can take days.

I gave up on smoothing an inline-roll on a wing coaster. Just accepted it would be a bit janky.

Got to start with an RMC. They look great in-game!

Some bits look fine when you're building them but turn out very jolty on the POV cam. Again though, overall I'm very surprised at how well this game works on a controller.

Sounds the same as on the PC then. The more I play I suspect its an issue with the ride cam rather than the ride itself.

Im really enjoying it on console, I have been building some coasters and seem to be getting the hang of it

the 2 issues i currently have

1. when building underground its hard to maneuver the camera
2. the community store area (cant remember what its called) has very few coasters on it, but then i guess once its been out a month or 2 more will be on there

Am I missing something or is there no pre built vertical loop option?
There is on the PC version, so I don’t see why there wouldn’t be on the console version. Admittedly, it’s only available on ride types that can invert, but it’s there nonetheless.
