Thorpe Park: General Discussion

Ever since Thorpe sold out for the rest of the season it appears twitter has become a breeding ground for ticket scammers who suddenly have lots of tickets to sell!

I’m sure those on here wouldn’t fall for it. But you never know, people sometimes get desperate when FOMO hits. But don’t fall for it folks, keep well clear!

All remaining Luna Cinema screenings have been cancelled.

We’ve endured some extreme weather conditions in the past couple of weeks, including sustained heavy rain, meaning the ground conditions of the event site and Luna Cinema is not in a usable state. We therefore feel it would be unwise to continue with these screenings. Thorpe Park Resort and The Luna Cinema are particularly disappointed that it is adverse weather and poor ground conditions that are preventing us delivering the drive in experience we have planned.

The opening dates and times for Thorpe’s 2021 season are up.

https://www.thorpepark.com/plan-your-visit/before-you-visit/opening-times/

Whilst things can of course change, it does show:

- Season runs from 27th March to 31st Oct
- No closed dates during the season
- opening hours of 10-5 weekdays, 10-6 weekends and school holidays
- Later opening hours on Fri & Sat during September, hopefully this means Oktoberfest will return
- Fright Nights dates 8-10 and 15-31st Oct with 9pm closes

The lack of closed dates and signalled return of Oktoberfest sounds promising - at least there doesn’t appear to be any significant cuts in those areas. Hopefully this is the case for Alton Towers too.

Any events to return this year like Hyper Spring or Supercharged Summer as they were planned for this year!

I know closed season speculation is usually pretty silly, but come on this is a bit far !
Could they potentially be temporarily removing Rush in order to finally remove Slammer as they both share a power source?
When you turn off your TV do you have to dismantle your oven? I dont get this.

Also how could Slammer share a power supply when the rides are so far apart. The park will have several sub stations to run areas, which are all fed from the incoming supply to the park.

Also, there's been activity at the old Loggers Leap site...
Opening an electronics box and some graffiti on a panel really isn't activity.

Given the fact there’s a couple of Teslas sat behind the marquee (one without number plates) I’d assume it’s simply some sort of corporate event. Possibly a dealer demo event or something and they’re using Thorpe as a venue.

What's this I hear about THORPE breaks now only including one day entry (to be used on either day of the stay), no more 2nr day free!
