Top 3 Bucket lists.....

Lots of people on here have been here, there and everywhere and others might be slightly younger or newer to the scene and haven't travelled that far from the UK.

However I'm eager to know what are people's top 3 bucket list to do's are. Choose 1 coaster, 1 flat/dark ride and 1 park. Only rule is the ride / park has to be operating so you can't include likes of Iron Gwazi, Velocicoaster and Guardians of the Galaxy for example.

Mine would be....

Dark ride: Star Wars ROTR - Probably a really obvious one but as a massive fan of the franchise as both a kid and adult it's hard to look elsewhere. Looks to be the most sophisticated and jaw dropping dark ride ever built too. What's not to like if you're into SW and dark rides right? Can't wait to get back to Florida in 2022 and try it out.

Coaster: Beast at Kings Island. One of the best loved older coasters around and famous for the special night ride it gives. Really regret not visiting the park when I was at Cedar Point 2 years ago but sadly just didn't have the time to squeeze it in. I will 100% be visiting when I next return to Cedar Point. X2 at MM another high up on my list (see below)

Park: Tokyo Disney Sea and Fuji Q Highlands are definitely very high up on my bucket list parks but I'd probably have to put SF Magic Mountain as my number 1. And that's strange for me as I'm not a great lover of Six Flags at all. However I have done Cedar Point which is the headline park for Cedar Fair and MM is the same for Six Flags so I kind of want to say I have done both and to compare.

Right, as I'm hopefully visiting America again next year and hitting a few new parks (Holiday World, Kentucky Kingdom the big new ones) this is a list of parks and rides I've currently no plans in place to visit...

Dark Ride: Rise of the Resistance. I've tried to avoid spoilers but from what I've seen and heard it looks stunning.

Coaster: Phoenix at Knoebels, really difficult to pick this. Figured this one due to its history and how highly its rated. Plus the park itself intrigues me so much as well.

Park: Dollywood, could either go for that or Silver Dollar City. Sort of both remind of the frontier trail section of Cedar Point but spread over a whole park.

I lived on the East coast in NYC in 2009 and 2010 so did my fair share of US parks. Travelled a fair bit to a few places. Holiday World, Dollywood and Knoebels were all parks I visited. Haven't been to Kentucky Kingdom or SDC though.

Phoenix at Knoebels is a very good coaster although somewhat over rated. It's definitely one of the better woodies I have done but it's not the best by any means. The Voyage is much much better. That thing just never gives in. Actually rate El Toro and Wodan higher than Phoenix too.

Dollywood is a great park and has only got better since I last visited. Sadly the day we decided to visit as part of our road trip fell on labour day weekend and the park was rammed. I think we only did 4 to 5 rides all day. Still really enjoyed it but was a shame to not experience more of the place really. Can definitely see why lots of people have it as their number 1 park.

Was lucky enough to tick off most of the bucket list last year but there's still a lot more out there. If I had to single out a handful...

Parks:

Holiday World - Love the idea of Christmas themeing and Voyage looks superb.

Dollywood - even before Lightning Rod this park has been well on my radar.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg - solid looking coaster line up but the European themeing has always intrigued me.

Coasters:

Fury 325 - because huge B&M.

Top Thrill Dragster - was closed when I visited. Remember seeing the pics of it being built in the snow as a spotty 13 year old and all these years later still yet to get on it.

Dark ride: Pirates of the Carribean in Shanghai
Park: Cedar Point
Coaster: Steel Vengeance

Park
Tough call but either Cedar Point or Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Dollywood is also very high up there as well.

Dark ride
Mystic Manor - Hong Kong Disneyland

Coaster
X2 or Tatsu - Six Flags Magic Mountain

Off the top of my head:

Park

Disneyland - probably the park I know most about without ever visiting. It's the park that set the standard for theme parks and there's a lot of facinating history to how it developed.

Coaster
Helix - I love Blue Fire and would love to return to Liseberg. Just haven't gotten around to it.

Dark Ride
Mystic Manor - really great dark ride. Designed as Hong Kong's signiture attraction, with no IPs attached. I feel like its the modern Disney classic and would love to ride someday.

Pretty straightforward for me..

Park - Tokyo DisneySea...I just love being totally immersed and there looks to be no place better.
Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Europa Park are both a close second.

Coaster - Taron. The amount of POV's I have watched on this probably doesn't do it justice but as soon as my youngest is tall enough we are going to Phantsialand .... probably to find it down for maintenance!

Dark Ride - Radiator Springs - I have always been a fan of Test Track including the original and with California being our next big holiday once things have settled down, I should hopefully get this and ROTR ticked off the list.

Great idea for a topic! And this one requires some thought.
  • Dark ride - Mystic Manor. Almost went for Rise of the Resistance (which I would have ridden by now if it had not been delayed) but Mystic Manor just seems to be a quintessential classic Disney dark ride. Brilliant theming mixed in with mind boggling effects.
  • Coaster - Lightning Rod. Again I should have been on this but when we went to Dollywood it was buggered. I just want to ride it for that quad down!
  • Park - Tokyo DisneySea. Need I say more? The park look unbelievable.

Dark Ride - Rise of the Resistance

Coaster - The Voyage at Holiday World

Park - Europa

Park: Tokyo DisneySea
Coaster: Steel Vengeance
Dark Ride: Mystic Manor
and if it was also flat ride and water ride i'd say
Flat ride: Talocan
Water Ride: Chiapas!
