Nigloland: General Discussion

Water Coaster for Nigloland?

Perfect choice.

Nigloland Fans have a couple of photos showing that construction for the water coaster is underway:

While browsing RCDB I noticed something new on the Nigloland page. It appears that back in May the park filed a trademark application and there has since been advertising around the park in a similar theme, which seems to confirm the name of the new coaster.

Sounds... Festive...

Interesting to note from the poster that they also seem to be receiving funding from the regional government. Seems to be a bit of a thing in France. If I remember rightly the regional government were also involved in Walygator’s purchase of Monster.

Elsewhere there has also been confirmation of Universal Rocks’ involvement in the project.

Krampus Expedition is definitely the name of the 2021 water coaster from Mack. Nigloland is such a wonderful, charming little park that I highly recommend everyone pays a visit. If you pine for the old Eurosat - then make it even more of a priority. Their two main coasters are great fun and their drop tower is one of the best in Europe. In addition, the landscaping and support rides are great. It's in a beautful, rural location.

The park is currently running (or, by the time some people see this, had run) a live Facebook feed, featuring two blokes wandering around Krampus Expedition, notably the fenced and backstage areas.

Nigloland recently announced some of their expansion plans to French broadcaster TF1: https://www.tf1.fr/tf1/sept-a-huit/...lle-de-forains-qui-defie-disney-99731099.html

Arguably the most exciting thing they announced was that within the next 4 years, they intend to invest €15-16m into building the park’s first inverting roller coaster, with renderings shown off in the above video from about 17:20.

For those who don’t want to watch the video; there isn’t too much shown, but the trains are shown to have 4 rows/16 seats each, and the ride is also shown to contain at least one launch.

With the park possibly being one of Mack Rides’ best customers aside from Europa Park, this is believed to infer that the park is building a Mack Rides Stryker Coaster, similar to Voltron at Europa Park.

Isn’t this exciting? I think it’ll be a brilliant fit for the park, personally!

This is excellent news, and not at all surprising that mini Europa-Park might be looking to get another coaster from Mack; there seems to be a great relationship between EP, Mack and Nigloland. A Mack Stryker seems like a sensible next step for the park in terms of coasters.

Good news, and seems like it's a good fit for the park as there first inverting coaster. I can see why they'd continue there relationship with Mack for this project, there bound to get a reliable ride that isn't going to cause them too many headaches, seems the logical choice.
