Europa-Park Music

I wanted to create a new topic for discussion of Europa-Park music. The music from EP has had a profound impact on my life and I know friends who have married to music from there, raved to music from there - and just generally had it leave a mark on them.

Whilst there is a lot of music - old and new - from Europa-Park that is loved (and some less loved!), it's important to remember that a lot of the "area" music at EP is actual classic tracks based on that country's heritage. But, of course, EP use music from IMAScore at times, Hendrick Schwarzer (T-Rex Classics) and CSO amongst others.

Whether it's the pounding beat of Euro Mir, the soaring anthem from Voletarium or the Benny Richter Iceland Score... the music across EP is varied and interesting.

Currently I am really enjoying this theme, the main foyer soundtrack for Rulantica. It's ethereal and calm - perfect for an evening in.

Please share your own favourite soundtracks from EP here. It's good to listen!

One of my favourites has to be the Europa-Park Suite. It just feels so glorious and triumphal, and I have to admit I get a tad emotional when I hear it sometimes. It reminds me of my favourite place in the world, the wonderful holidays I've spent there, and the memories I've made with the lovely people of this site.

Many theme parks around the world have great music and soundtracks. For me, music is integral to the overall theme park experience and really helps to create an immersive atmosphere. The first time I visited Phanasialand there was no music playing in the park due to Easter restrictions and it really have a negative impact on my feelings for the park.

Music is something that Europa-Park excel in. I'd go as far as saying that they have the best mix of music of any park in the world. You have the classical Europa-Park Suite soundtrack which is just perfect but also some really fun tracks like that for the Dancing Dingie or the CanCan Coaster onride track. Then you have old favourites like Euro Mir and Matterhorn Blitz.

The Rulantica soundtrack really is a triumph. It has a bit of everything. I am also a big fan of Voletrarium's music.

I really like the Wodan track, it was noticeably quieter on my recent visit and really took away from the queue experience.

There are certainly some excellent tracks across the Resort and it’s nice to have a mix of popular and commissioned music, for example Louis Armstrong at Bell Rock and The Godfather soundtrack in Italy.

The one thing that did surprise me on my first visit was the inconsistency of audio levels across the park. That was a few years ago and I still don’t think it’s been properly resolved. There are some areas where the audio is too quiet to properly be heard, which surprised me given EP’s otherwise stellar attention to detail. I think this could be one of the most effective improvements they could make across the park.

The one other improvement they could make is to extend some of the area music loops. When they use popular recognised tracks, it’s more obvious when a song is repeated regularly.

Spain is a good example of both these issues. There are spots in Spain where the area music is very clear, such as the train station, but other areas where it’s almost inaudible. When you do hear it, it’s very obvious when the Gipsy Kings are repeated every four songs!

I've only been to Europa Park for two days, it was Halloween season so in the car park we were treated to this song that's been lodged in my brain ever since...

The biggest disappointment was not hearing the Silver Star song though

Silver Star's music is criminally underrated. It's often on in the station, but it's so quiet that it's a struggle to even hear it.

The already mentioned Europapark Suite and the Voletarium CD are really as good as it gets.
But I also like the older one from the diamond mine, very relaxing:
Also I love the Märchenwald soundtrack by Kolja Erdmann:
Wodan is fantastic, too:

Have to agree here. There's a lot of areas that were just dead spots in recent years, noticeably on my last two visits in 2017 and 2019 compared to when I first went in 2012 where audio played at a reasonable volume all over. Hopefully that's been sorted since as the park truly does have some excellent music.

On my visit at the end of April, I noticed one key difference with Europa’s soundtracks is that unlike the parks in the UK, who opt for very long IMAScore loops, Europa Park tends to opt for short, repetitive ear worms that really get stuck in your head. I can think of a number of soundtracks at Europa that fit this description; in fact, most of them do from memory. So my question to you today is; what are some of your favourite Europa Park ear worms? Or some of the ones that always get stuck in your head?

I’ll get the ball rolling with some of my answers.

I’ve got to say that I do like this theme from Blue Fire a lot, and I often find this looping around in my head:

And how could I make a thread like this without mentioning Euro Mir? This one was hard to get out of my head, even though I only had one ride on EM during my trip:

Silver Star also has a rather catchy one:

Although I’ll digress that the one that got stuck in my head most was this one; it isn’t even a Europa soundtrack per se, but this played often in Silver Star’s queue, and it was hard to get out of my head! I genuinely think I heard it in my sleep after riding Silver Star…:

Sorry for the double post but this is also a necessary addition to the list. Not a Europa original per se, but certainly an earworm :tearsofjoy:

I might be misremembering things here, but which attraction is that from?

Really suited MIR well at Halloween last year except they also played it on loop in the outside queue. That was less acceptable.

Europa-Park Suite is a masterpiece, as @Alastair says, some of the best theme park music ever created.

I love the Rulantica soundtrack also, it has a melody that repeats throughout many different tracks.

I also adore Europa Music - here are some of my favs

Rustis - Hands up party, This was the track from the first parade on my first visit.

Euromir ........I am a lover of 90s trance, and this soundtrack SLAMS, who can't resist raving during the lifthill?

CanCan Coaster/Eurosat lift hill music .....I actually LOVE the new operatic sound it has now - gives me chills, a potential 'walking down the isle' style track!

Die Geburtstagsparty - Madam Freudenreich Curiosites - when the rave sound kicks in - its just one of those lol moments on a whimsical ride!

Evening in Stilt village - Pirates of Batavia, another chills moment - gorgeous, lush

Rustis - Best day ever.... This is a track that wouldn't have gone unnoticed as a commercial pop song, - uplifting, summery, slick,

Feel Free - first heard on my first resort hotel stay on the Europa park TV 'channel', love the video for it too, again a slick pop song that I have on many a general play-list.

Oh and of course the Voltarium soundtrack for helping give me moist eyes when I first rode in 2018!

The more commercial bops

The more Etherial soundtracks

Sorry to bump this thread, but I just thought of another awesome piece of Europa Park music that sticks in my head from my visit.

Even though I didn't post it at the time, I have to say that this track from CanCan Coaster (Tourne, tourne, tourne) is an excellent one that really stuck in my head after my visit:

To be honest, though, CanCan has some other brilliant tracks as well; two of my other favourites from the queue are "L'avenir commence ici" and "Valse magique"!
