Was 3 years to the day since the removal of the mouse was revealed on Wednesday.
In a world of doom and gloom, that delightful reminder could just tip me over the edge

Pleasure beach have officially pushed opening weekend back to Feb 20th, but it will almost certainly be pushed back again.

Easter if we are lucky, but the way covid is going I wouldn't even bet on that.

RIP! Anything on the Big One track replacement or has that been halted due to this most recent lockdown? Also i do want to see @rob666 swim the River Caves this season :)

Yeah the track towards the end of the ride going through the tunnel was removed late last year. Currently sitting in the car park round the back. Guessing the new track will turn up in a few weeks time.

I was just scanning a Blackpool Pleasure Beach book and I came across an attraction called The Beast! Does anyone know what it was and when it opened?
It was a motion simulator, showing a film of The Beast at Kings Island, which was about as exciting as it sounds.

Edit: Photo (sort of)

I don't recall it being there, but maybe? I remember it being next to Greatest Show on Earth which is now Burger King. At the extreme left of the photo you can see the chequered flag of the Go Karts entrance and the PMBO exiting the MCBR - the flat section hidden by The Beast.
From what i remember the Go Karts opened in 1998 and closed in 2017 for Icon to use their path. It closed in 2000s i believe and came before Bridgestone Go Karts. Also this may be a bit of a strenuous question but does anyone know when Hotchkiss Bicycle railway was closed and then put into that museum?

As far as I know, Pleasure Beach are pressing ahead with all their pre-season work as if the park was opening on schedule so that they're in a position to open as soon as they're able to do so.

The Big One's new track will be in place before the new season starts, I'm confident of that, just not confident that I'll be able to provide any updates on this occasion.
