Europa-Park Online Shop

I would just like to throw out a recommendation for the Europa-Park Online shop. Is there any other park out there with such a comprehensive online offer? I think the vast, vast majority of the park's merchandise is available online - whether audio CDs, cuddly toys, towels, clothing, books or more.

My order this time comprised of a Jopie plush (Robbemond's cute otter sidekick in Piraten in Batavia), a Snorri lanyard, Rulantica glasses wipe, the Madame Freudenreich Curiosités soundtrack, Piraten in Batavia soundtrack and, of course, the new Made by Mack glossy hardback book - in English: the book being the main reason for my splurge.

In such times that we are unable to visit parks abroad, this little piece of Rust that arrived today brought quite a lot of cheer. International Shipping (through DHL and Parcelforce Worldwide) to the UK is a reasonable €8.00 (£7.00) per order and, although delivery is slower than it was due to [reasons], you can still expect to receive your order within a fortnight.

I would also add that Europa-Park completed all the necessary paperwork for the post-Brexit customs requirements, and as a consequence, I was not left with any nasty surprises when the goods were delivered at my door. I am aware of others who have also had positive experiences.

If you're missing theme parks lately - check out the store. It might just cheer you up while you wait to get back.

Thanks for the heads up about the book, it sounds awesome. The English version is currently out of stock, hope it's back in stock by March. Would like it for my birthday. :p
Pretty expensive though, I must say!

It is one of those big, glossy hardback coffee table style books. Hence the price.

Sorry though, I must have nabbed the last one

I was about to buy the book but it was quite pricey for me right now, when it might just be a promo merch style book. If it's a real book with the real story let us know and Ill buy it (hoping the English version is stocked again!), would be brilliant!

It's a bit infuriating that they have so many books and 98% are only in German. You'd think if they're trying to enter the English market for holidays they'd have started to cater a little more in this direction, especially when the other parks print books in different languages, either separate or all in one.

To be clear, Europa-Park aren't especially trying to enter the English market. Their efforts in the past are merely dabbling - they're certainly not aiming on the UK at present.

The last couple of times I've used National Express coaches they had a full page advert for Europa Park in the onboard magazine. They've been slowly ramping up their publicity in the UK. Bringing Paddington Bear on Ice to the UK might have helped as well.

They haven't, really.

If anything, whilst there remains a small number of things that Europa-Park do in terms of touching base with the UK, from a high point of pubicity/advertisements around 10 years ago, there's far less now.

I can't remember exactly when, but there was a short period of direct flights to Lahr airport from the UK, which Europa-Park co-ordinated, competitions to win all-inclusive breaks from the UK, the famous Ed in London campaign and much more.

Relative to that, Europa-Park are nowhere near as proactive with UK publicity as they were. Token gestures is about it. To the original point, translating all EP literature into UK just won't be seen as a priority. At least some of it is...!

Small heads up for anyone interested:

The English edition of the Made By Mack book is currently in stock. Checked a couple of days ago thinking they’d be in stock for Christmas but they weren’t. Checked again today almost by accident and they were available and ordered mine immediately. I was very jealous of everyone who initially managed to bag one back whenever it was.

Thanks for the heads up, will add it to my Christmas list. :)

Whilst I’d say the book is very nicely presented, I did feel it lacked in substance. There’s very little in there which is not easily garnered from other sources, so don’t expect it to contain any new revelations. As a coffee table book though it’s very nice.

Agree.

The Roland Mack King of Fun book is very informative however.
