Many people are reporting they get an error when entering bar codes almost as if the system doesn’t recognise the extension to expiry dates.

So this is going well then.

All booked for the 17th/18th April at Towers. I went straight in with no virtual queue and my numbers were accepted first time. You have to restart the booking process to book another day though but even then, no virtual queuing.

Maybe this was the virtual queueing they were referring to in the job advert! :D

I never saw it but in fairness wasn't looking for it

Oh and if you have a monthly pass, just select the Standard or Premium MAP option depending on your pass type. I've got a premium monthly pass as do the two passholders I was adding to my order, and entered my numbers without any issue in the Premium option
 
I've waited half an hour already. Waited longer for this than I think I have ever done for oblivion or nemesis

Currently in the queue for a ticket for someone. It wouldn't be Alton Towers with a good old fashioned queue though! I think they should upgrade it with some queueline music and announcements!:D;)
Luckily got my prebooks in before the queue really kicked in- I think I must have been one of the first in the queue-it system as it was walk on!;)

So the reservations don't have barcodes or QR codes that can be scanned. They're just a printed page that says the number of passes and the date in a small font. What could possibly go wrong with that..?

One of two things is happening.
1. It's linking a pre-book to a pass number (which it actually is) and blocking passes without a pre-book (not sure).
2. Merlin are trying to trick guests into thinking 1 is the case.

As above Merlin are advising that as you have entered your pass number to secure the reservation it means the system will know if you have a reservation for the day you scan your pass on entry.

Whether that is true or not is another matter, but I guess as long as the vast majority think it is true, it won’t really cause many issues.
