Watched anything good lately?

Some good comedy series shouts in here but the best has to be Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Top 5 comedy series anyone?

1. Curb
2. I'm Alan Partridge
3. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
4. Peep Show
5. The Office (US)

Great picks there! I'd go with...

1) Community
2) The League of Gentlemen
3) Peep Show
4) Arrested Development
5) It's Always Sunny

I do love Curb and Partridge but I don't find them as rewatchable but they're in my top ten without a doubt.

I'm also on Superstore at the moment and enjoying it. I need to try Parks & Rec again, struggled to get captivated by it after first few episodes.

But my favourite recent sitcoms have been Ghosts on BBC and What we Do in the Shadows (FX in US, but BBC iPlayer in UK).

Well I've managed to finish Schitt's Creek, The Crown and The History of Swear Words all on the same day pretty much. So I've started on Superstore which I think is really funny (after the first episode where you're still getting to know the characters) and late to the party, but I've also begun watching Tiger King!

I've just finished watching Behind Her Eyes on Netflix. It's seriously, seriously good, and the final episode just leaves you gobsmacked. Only a 6-parter so not too much time to invest either.

I’ve recently started watching Spooks after scrolling through BritBox. How I’ve never seen it in the 19 years its been out I don’t know. It’s Brilliant. Still on series 1.

Been watching Mountain Rescue (released the Friday just gone), a Swedish drama (with English subtitles) that follows the lives of first responders in the mountain resort of Are. I haven't really watched a drama like this before but as I like watching documentaries about the emergency services I thought I'd give it a try. Got one more episode to watch out of 10 and am really enjoying it. Did have to look away at some of the medical scenes but that was expected, and I also jumped a couple of times as well :tearsofjoy:. (no spoilers obvs)
The acting is great and so are the storylines. Will definitely watch again if a new series is brought to the UK. Highly recommended! :)

Some strange goings on the ITV channel today.

First Lorraine Kelly this morning and then the same repeat actions on Loose Women (I caught the trail end of the program just before the lunch time news)

Presenters suffering from cramp
Mouse in studio
Spiders in studio
Flies in studio
Presenters caught Yarning, picking nose and one acted as if she had ants in her knickers

I did have to check todays date just in-case we hit April the 1st

Could Ant and Dec be behind it?

Very possible, but those sorts of things aren't usually done live lol.

I've now finished The Queen's Gambit. Didn't think I'd like it much and I found the majority of the first episode pretty uninteresting, but it's important for setting up the plot to the rest of the series, which incidentally is absolutely fantastic. I never thought I'd be so invested in a game of chess!

I can’t believe nobody has mentioned RuPauls Drag Race yet !

What started as a parody of reality contests in 2009 is currently showing its 13th season on Netflix, and the acclaimed U.K. version just concluded its second season on BBC3 . While on its surface , the show is a contest between a group of Drag performers , having to do everything from hair / makeup / costumes to acting / singing / impersonation , the show has become so much more than a showcase of talent.

The conversations from the contestants about their lives and about very real issues we as a society face (transphobia, racism, gender identity, substance abuse and more are all addressed frankly throughout the various instalments) are the true heart of Drag Race - the show truly has something for everyone and is the definition of bingeworthy. I’d recommend anyone to give it a try (I’d suggest either Drag Race U.K. season 1, or Season 6 of the US season are fantastic starting points)

Season 6 of the US version is my absolute favourite! I also really loved series 2 of UK drag race. Season 13 isn’t really doing much for me sadly.

Watched The Terror on iPlayer, and thought it was great. If anyone liked Jared Harris' performance in Chernobyl, he puts on a stellar performance as Francis Croizer. Highly recommended.

Season 13 is longer than usual due to Secret Celebrity Drag Race being cancelled , they suddenly had 4 more episodes to fill, so we got the premiere shenanigans and a double save with nobody going home . However , some of the queens (GottMik, Symone, Tamisha and Kandy particularly) really are compelling characters and have a lot of important subjects to talk about - production is doing them all a disservice

I think the other reasonS13 of Drag Race feels so meh is because season 2 of UK Drag race was so excellent and airing at the same time.

Looks like Ant and Dec were behind it after all.

All will be reviled on ITV Saturday Night Takeaway this weekend

Stephen Mulhern interrupted Phil and Holly on This Morning awarding them with an award for "On Air Dares" winning trophy

Having watched a few DC films after the new version of Justice League at the weekend I watched all two seasons of the excellent animated Harley Quinn series.

Today I finished season 1 of Ted Lasso, a surprisingly moving and heartwarming comedy.

Decided to try out Line of Duty when series 6 began last week. Really enjoying it although I don't understand much because I haven't watched any of the previous 5 series. :p:)

I am so pleased the new series of Midsommer Murders is on. I so enjoy this show just to sit back and enjoy. Great episode as well. Next few weeks tele watching is gonna be good - and yes I’m aware this sounds like I’m in my sixties!
