Alton Towers should control who they've got on site and what they are allowed to do. It's more leaky than the government!

I was always surprised they would have been happy with a waltzer, both thematically the most challenging and most fairgroundy, but also the most risky restraint wise in the current climate.

Still personally very happy to see one turn up though.

Agree. The last Waltzer I rode had the traditional restraint but there was some sort of pedal mechanism on the back of the car that meant you couldn't just lift it on your own. Not sure they are becoming more common?

Anyone heard or seen anything more about the Bring a Friend for £15 tickets for Season Pass holders this year? According to Towers responses on Twitter they are saying they are coming "very soon" but when you have your pass ticket booked and need to book a friend ticket for the same date, its a bit of a worry that the longer you wait there is a chance that date will get fully booked for your friend to come along!

Yes I'm worried about this problem too. Hopefully by soon they do actually mean soon

Why? It’s a theme park not GCHQ!
Well it's just an observation. It seems like every few days there's more photos uploaded to social media showing the new rides, and they don't appear to be from "enthusiasts" but rather people with permission to be on the park? It doesn't seem very professional and I'm not sure the park management would be too happy about that.

Maybe they are turning a blind eye because it is getting people talking about Towers and hoping it'll get them interested in visiting when they can. If it was pictures of a brand new attraction like GG then I guess they'd stop the leaks.

Its that time of year, few weeks before season starts you always get photos from around the park as staff and contractors start.

I didn’t screen shot it. But from the brief amount you could see, I’m not sure they have moved the Carousel (from its new location on the old Toadstool site), but this temporary flat is being added to the right and slightly further back than the Carousel.

Someone mentioned the app was showing slight changes in where the other 3 rides are meant to be, and the same can be said for this spot too. A section of clear space has been made, that was previously covered with trees.

The amount of unused buildings in that screenshot makes me sad.

They might not even bother with printed maps in 2021. They didn’t hand them out last year and it would save them the printing costs.

Be sure to click the link to the blog post, work has taken place on Towers St, Battle Galleons, Rapids (the waterfalls might be back?), 13 and more.

Splitting Guest Services and the Box Office again is a good move. The one building struggled to cope with both in a small space.

Fantastic to see, I'm sure they'll look great a night. Perhaps even do a half-hourly/hourly show where they are synced to ITHOTMK?
