Those fast track prices genuinely are absolutely ludicrous. We know lots of the coasters are great but no one would come off any ride thinking it was worth £8/£10.
If people are willing to pay it, then why not? If they're priced high enough to discourage over use (and thus make the main queue move faster) and so that Towers can make some free cash for doing nothing then that's a win win isn't it?

They should be priced based on the queue length you are skipping not on the ride type. I’d have gone even higher for Wickerman and Smiler as they are the most popular.
Higher the price, the fewer
What about Th13teen. I know the smiler is more popular but Th13teen has been getting the bigger queues recently

I think Thirteen’s bigger queues are more likely caused by the ride’s notably lower than usual throughput; with both social distancing and the test dummies on the back of the trains, I think each train can only take something like 10 people at the moment, compared with 20 under normal circumstances.

Correct me if I’m wrong on that, but Thirteen certainly seems more profoundly impacted by social distancing from a throughput perspective than the other large rides, so if anything, Thirteen probably shouldn’t have as much Fastrack allocated to it.

And a lower allocation of fastrack should mean more expensive fastttack too

If any of you have ever used fast track, have you felt embarrassed entering the queue?

I rarely use them (skint people problems) but on the occasion I did, i felt like a T***er walking past people in the normal queue. It felt morally dirty. Maybe I’m far too much of a sensitive wimp.

I've not paid for Fastrack at any park, and don't intend to unless it's somewhere I'm unlikely to return to for a while and want to get on as many coasters as possible. I did have a free Fastrack when I visited Phantasialand in July 2015 due to staying in the hotels, and we made a very wise decision to use it on Chiapas. Cut the wait time down immeasurably.

The only time I’ve used paid Fastrack in recent memory is when I was given it for free when Wicker Man broke down on its opening weekend back in 2018, and I used it on Thirteen. I admit that it does feel kind of wrong to be walking past everyone waiting, but I suppose it is a service that the park is offering if you’re willing to pay extra for it or if you break down on a ride. It’s not something I’d feel overly comfortable doing and flaunting frequently, though, I’ll admit...

Something like FastPass+ at Disney, on the other hand, feels nowhere near as bad, for some reason... maybe it’s because everyone receives FastPass+ at Disney?

Yes but I fairly quickly learned it doesn't really matter what people think- I'm using what I paid for.

I’m sorry can we analyse this picture for a second? This refurb looks awful, look at the rotted top edges, tacky star window stickers, 2D wrap around. Nothing matches, nothing screams modern. I’m sorry For a UK leading theme park this is c**p to be honest! Disappointed

Whilst it definitely isn't the best and does look a mess, it could just be a sticking plaster until more thorough work can be carried out next winter? Or maybe they'll work on the rotten top bits during this season after the park closes in the evenings.

I hope so, I just think first impressions count. They have had all closing season, it’s quite clear budgets are beyond tight with upgrades. But projects like this should not be passed off unless properly thought through. Expect better in my corner shop.

For example below, why can they afford better 3D signage for a temporary attractions (which majority of guests will miss) However half of towers street plastered with 2D cheap signs. This area is seen all year around and the focal point of the park. Makes absolutely no sense to me.

I agree the refurb of the photos building looks very poorly done, mismatched and honestly just a bit random. Why the star stickers at all? And surely a redecoration would also call for a clean up of the rotting edges as @Buster11 pointed out

I've always kind of disliked the colours of towers street. I think it'd look much better with a more traditional "Main Street" theme, with exposed brick and subtle details as opposed to what we currently have which looks like they had a couple of tins of paint left over from Cbeebies Land and decided to throw them all over the place.

Totally agree. I think the random brightly coloured buildings look very out of place with the mish mash of other features towers street has gathered over the years, such as the toys on the roof of the towers trading building and the frog fountains. I feel like the previous style of towers street with flower beds and old style, traditional and highly themed looking buildings is definitely better suited

Looks like a display you see in a Nursery or Reception classroom. I agree it looks hideous.

You're not paying for the ride, you're paying to skip the queue. If the queue was over an hour, I'd pay.

Why the hell is Spinball on a package.
