Yep they are showing now. All 4 are on the map, but only the three that have been announced are actually labelled so far.

Is it just likely then that the entire of TWoDW isn't opening until May 17? The support attractions in the area which I thought might have opened on Monday aren't listed at all, so I'm assuming nothing in the area will operate until May 17 and maybe thats why we have no twister for now.

I believe that is the case. They don’t want to open the area without the headline ride. So will wait until it can all open on 17th May.

It makes sense as it gives them more time to add the finishing touches to the whole area.

I'm confused as to what you mean as this ride from the picture has been themed to the 80s retrosquad theme. This ride, and so I assume the other pop up rides, hasn't been left to their original state, and so have been themed.

The colour scheme has been tweaked with a few vinyls to give it a slightly different identity. It still makes no apologies for what it actually is - a temp fairground ride. I’m not slating it, and I guess what constitutes theming could be subjective and an entirely different debate altogether! :)

That's a fair point but I wouldn't be surprised if they steered away from blending them into the areas (theming to the areas I guess) as that could've given the false impression that the rides are here to stay.
This and I think they've themed (or *stylised*) them the best that they can in a non permanent way. Things such as the lights covering the rides can't be removed meaning even with all the sticker cover ups in the world the rides would still look like fairground rides, so rather than try and hide what they are, towers have themed them to this 80s backstory.

The effort they've put in can't be denied. It would have been absolutely easier to just leave the rides 100% as they were

Would be interesting to see how these rides are being powered whilst at Towers. The portable generators they usually use are bloody loud!

Good point, although aren't the four temporary rides located at areas that were previously home to flat rides? Presumably they could tap into those existing electricity supplies.

Funk and Fly would imply some music along with the ride - are we expecting the techno rave music from large speakers usually located around the ride then? :)

I believe the score that was composed for the advert is also the on-ride audio for all three rides.
