Thing is, as the mum and dad loves ballroom dancing (and in the film at least, they liked Strictly) will the on-board audio be Strictly Come Dancing?! :D:D
Towers would have to obtain the licence to use it, but that would be funny! :p

Just been looking at the map now and seems odd that the Cuckoo Driving School still has that name?
If its staying for the foreseeable future and if it will become part of DW World, then I guess that will be redone as part of any other phases for the area in the coming years

It is slightly weird, I wonder if it's area will be classed as "The Towers" now along with Hex. Can imagine a retheme in the next couple of years to fit in hopefully.
EDIT: maybe as the Driving School was closed throughout 2016, and re-opened in 2017 as Cuckoo Cars Driving School, maybe they thought it was too early to re-do it again?

Good point. To be honest I didn't realise it was still there since I remember it being closed for a while and never really gave it much attention anyway. Maybe this could be another potential area for flats in the future, but maybe it's more popular than I realise.

Another thing I've noticed is that Duel can't be clicked on on the map, but its info is still listed. I thought this might be since dark rides can't open, but Hex can be clicked on? Might just be a technical issue but I thought it was interesting

Other than rides, the map seems to show that the former Forbidden Valley BK will now be serving HotDogs and Loaded Fries and that Nitrogenie will remain closed.

Also the Galactica shop seems to be empty for another year.

I am a bit surprised they didn't just go down a lazy route of making it Bad Dad's Driving School or something. They could have just removed the Cuckoo Cars and went back to just calling it the driving school as another option.

But that area still needs a couple more attractions. The old Nickelodeon building needs something, maybe just another indoor play thing to replace wobble world. Also the theatre needs re-opening.

The amount of empty buildings in TWoDW and Towers Street is very depressing. There's so much potential there! Hopefully something will be done about it in the next coming years. Its things like the conservatory now being made use of that makes me think they will

Shawn mentioned that in a recent vlog actually. Hopefully they'll repurpose them in the future. For a start, Guest Services has moved back into No1. :)

I suspect that the Driving School retheme and theatre reopening will form part of a ‘phase 2’ for TWODW.

I thought the shop went with the conversion to Rollercoaster Restaurant it it was just a photo counter now?

The air shop became the RCR but they built a new one and photo counter to the left of it. The shop was just empty last year and you walked through it. For 2021 I think they have added boards to cover the empty space so it will essentially be like Oblivion when you walk through a closed up old shop.

They built an extension onto the side for the new shop and photo unit. You now go through the old fire exit.

I've only done Galactica 2/3 times since RCR came in and I think my memory just blocked the fact there was any shop in that space, I remember just going past the photo counter and out. On one hand its a bit sad that there will be no shop at all in Forbidden Valley, but then I don't have any interest in Glactica or Nemesis merch and its likely many others won't either.
Only thing I used the Air shop for was bottled drinks (easier than the cups and I didn't normally get a refill thing). But I don't remember Phantasialand having many shops at all and if the park isn't selling enough merch to make it worth stocking them then might as well get rid.
The Oblivion one though could at least have the arcade extended into it, which would look better than the plywood maze.

TowersStreet doesn't seem so bad as everything currently open has been used as long as I can remember (except for the restaurant). The buildings between guest services and Box Office haven't been used in around 20 years. But Towers Trading takes up the whole of the left side and has done for that long too. Getting the restaurant open would be nice, but I accept its not the busiest area of the park at lunchtime.

What could they use the spare buildings in Towers Street for? I can only think of a variety of shops selling the same thing?
