I wouldn't be surprised if it soft opened midsummer.
I'm in complete agreement with you. I felt for the immersive area it sits within, it was not as good as I was expecting. I'm not saying it wasn't enjoyable but just not blown away.Despite being a big Disney fan and also a fan of the movie.....I wasn't blown away by Ratatouille at DLP like so many people are. I found the video quality to be rather poor and the ride just doesn't flow that nicely in my opinion.
I hope they have tweaked it a bit for this newer version.
Bump!
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind officially opens on May 27th!
Not a huge fan of Marvel films tbh but I did enjoy the GOTG films. I can see this coaster being something special too given the scale and budget.
I think it would have been done a year or so earlier if the pandemic hadn't happened, they waited out to see how crowd levels were. No point announcing a new attraction when capacity has to be restricted. It’s mind boggling that it’s taken half a decade for this ride to open. A sad indictment of how Disney currently run their parks.
Disney are notorious for dragging out new attractions even before the pandemic. I have no idea why it takes them so long personally as you seem equally detailed rides at Universal these days that spring up in almost half the amount of time.
