Just because a paper says something Matt, it doesn't mean it is true.
They have made a prediction, nothing more.
21st June is eight weeks away, things can change.
It’s not an unevidenced estimate; it’s apparently based on the trial runs of non-socially distanced events that were conducted a few weeks ago. They were very successful, with no additional COVID cases, so the scientists at SAGE/SPI-M currently feel that it is safe to scrap the 1m+ rule after 21st June, provided nothing changes drastically between now and then.

It’s also worth noting that The Times has been a reliable source for past “government leaks”, with many of their previously reported rumours proving to be true...

This only reflects the government’s current intentions, of course, but there’s apparently nothing in the data at the moment that would drastically change the course of the roadmap.

I think we have also reached the point where society will just ignore the rules completely if it's not unlocked as scheduled which I think government have realised.

Not necessarily; people are very understanding of the rules and the reason for them, from my experience, and are still mostly willing to comply. However, I certainly think that people are getting more and more fed up with them, and there’s only so long that some businesses can last with the 1m+ rule still being in place.

I agree. It's a bit like the reason they don't put the national speed limit up to 80mph on duel carriageway roads, they're not saying 80mph on certain stretches isn't safer than it was when the law was introduced, but there's a realisation that many already break the current limit so making the limit higher would higher the speed people are doing overall.

I think it's the same here. Last summer there was a rush to get the economy moving and what ensued was a free for all as it sent the message out that it was practically over. They're not making the same mistake this year. All these dates are being marketed to the populace as "at the earliest" but I think they're pretty much set in stone unless something drastic happens.

I know it's a bank holiday Monday, but given how atrocious the weather is, it's a lot busier at towers today than I was expecting

It doesn't help that Spinball and Th13teen are down which may well be because of the conditions (I don't know for certain).

All 4 rides in X Sector currently closed, as is all of Dark Forest bar Roller Disco. RMT also closed.

Power Issue? Odd for the RMT to be closed too as that feeds from the other side of the park for power - it's also not normally a ride affected by high winds / inclement weather.
Well we know what it likely is with x sector... wind problems. Regardless though the availability in the first hour has been woeful and when the park have so many closures, they really should extend ride close

I dont know how old this is but looks like the car park team were having fun:

Playing "Car Park Snooker"? (Like it is alleged traffic Police - remember them? - used to do?). i.e. Pull a white car, then a red one, then a yellow etc.. and work through the order of colours on the snooker table over the shift. Of course they denied this happened...! Apparently it got quite difficult when they got to pink.

A small but useful change to the app has seen the full ride restrictions added to each attraction, including max chest sizes, evacuation info etc. Previously this section just listed the height restriction.

This will help people plan ahead as to what they can or cannot ride.
