Thorpe Park: General Discussion

wearing gloves makes no difference with Covid? It’s primarily an airborne virus, wearing masks is far more important together with distancing and ventilation.
It would be a lot more about distancing that is keeping numbers inside down.
You wear masks and gloves. But to be honest ever since it opened you wore gloves so I think that's more to keep the mirrors clean than anything else.

We now have a snippet of the soundtrack to Black Mirror Labyrinth, composed by IMAScore:

Sounds great! Even though it’s not really my kind of thing at all, I’m interested to see what this attraction is actually like; I look forward to hearing the reviews on Friday!

I’ve got a feeling it could be received quite well by those who choose to enter; I’m sure Netflix have very high standards!

Here it is on Thorpe Park's twitter feed

Thanks @ThisGuy; much appreciated! I don’t know what was wrong with Facebook; it usually works…

On the topic of the attraction, I’m still slightly at a loss as to what it is. Is it simply just a mirror maze, or does it have something more to it?

Regardless, I’m sure it’ll be a great addition to the park, and I hope it does well for them!

From what we know it looks to like it's a mirror maze with actors (I expect there would be a preshow to explain the story but the details we shall have to wait and see).

I’m certainly interested to see what it’s like; it’s not something I’m personally that keen on experiencing, as that kind of walk-through attraction isn’t my sort of thing at all, but I’m still quite curious to see what it’s actually like, as we don’t know a whole lot at the moment, and I certainly think that the concept has potential, for sure…

Reminds me of the sort of thing that Thorpe would have done a decade ago. I mean, OK.

I honestly can’t remember the last time I had even a remote interest in a new development at Thorpe, we’ve had many years of stuff that just hasn’t engaged me at all. Just speaking for myself.

For a couple of seasons at least, until they realise as per usual that they can't afford the actors anymore then it reverts to being just a mirror maze.

No actors in this one, apparently. Maybe this will be the first time Thorpe retroactively add actors, rather than remove them?

I know what you mean, but this is Thorpe Park, who have been doing the same thing for a decade.

Elaborating on the aforementioned changes to DBGT that @Rick mentioned earlier, Thorpe Park Mania now has some new info:

While the VR segments are still very much the same, the storyline is now completely different, being centred around “Minds Wanted Incorporated” (this would appear to hark back to the 2015 teaser campaign, which was centred around “MindsWanted”). I don’t know an awful lot more than that, but the staff have apparently been given new themed uniforms.

I wonder whether this has finally “fixed” the ride so to speak, and made it the critically acclaimed dark ride Thorpe hoped it would be?

What's the point in redoing the actor segments and storyline when the VR never works? Shouldn't they be fixing that first? It might be a case of them blowing inside the cartridge slot of the Super Nintendo's it looks like they use for the VR graphics

How does the new ‘Minds Wanted Inc’ narrative fit with the existing VR storyline of fracking and escaped gas?
