Wicker mans pre show is great and it should return. There is a problem though, one I have seen happen, people don’t know what to expect and then the kids get scared. I think it needs to be made clear that you can skip it and that you can go straight through to the station. This will allow for both people like Matt and those who want to experience it. It would be great if they could have a separate line but I am not sure where they could put it. If it was made clear and was easily skippable it would solve both issues! As for capacity there is only a small difference in throughput one which is probably worth it for the better experience.

WM preshow, as far as I can tell, makes zero difference to operations. I can't see how it ever could, unless the exit door were to get jammed shut and no-one noticed for ages.

More often than not, if you were towards the back of the room you wouldn't be able to leave as there'd be too many guests in the station.

I can’t believe we’ve got so many people not wanting the pre-show to return! It’s pretty great imo and I don’t think it makes a slight bit of difference to operations. Every time we’ve been recently my friend always says “I hope that bit at the start comes back because I really like that”, whether that will be today or not who knows, but hopefully there can be some updates from around the park today if anyone’s there to see what’s changed and what hasn’t.

What's the news around the park today then. Are single riders allowed on spinball and rapids again? Is the SRQ back on the smiler? Is the pre show back on Wicker man?

I'm slightly surprised about the former, not surprised about the latter. Packing 60 people in a tiny room isn't ideal. Good to see Smiler SRQ return though, another option to avoid the dreadful main queue

Especially given that its always got the longest wait

Was anyone on park today (or any Merlin park)? Would be interesting to hear how everything is managed in terms of masks/social distancing etc. Are staff still wearing masks and are any guests (voluntarily)? Is there still social distancing in the queues and are rides fully loaded now with multiple groups per row next to each other?

We where there yesterday and even yesterday when restrictions remained, very few guests wore masks, we often where the odd ones out, prob 3 or 4 people on a ride had a mask on. No social distancing in queues from most guests, we kept space in front, but people came straight behind us most of the time and based on what we saw very little social distancing was taking place. Also they where loading multiple parties in all 4 across seating, eg on Air, nemesis, oblivion and smiler there was another party next to us.

I was at Chessington today.
No guests were wearing a mask, a few staff were randomly.
No one was social distancing.
Ride loading was a mixed bag, some rides were doing every seat, Dragon's Fury dispatched me on my own for some reason.

Thanks for the update. I had heard that Zufari is loading every seat but wasn’t sure if this is consistently across every ride. Seems as if policies are a little inconsistent

I’ve just noticed that Justin’s House Pieomatic Factory is no longer listed as an attraction on the queue times section of the app, and it has also been removed from the resort map in the app. Is this attraction definitely closed or could this be a problem with the app? If it is indeed closed, could we be seeing a potential new replacement in the near future?

It is possible that they have used it's forced extended closure as an opportunity to plan a future new attraction in its place. We'll have to wait and see what happens. :)

It could well be that they are using staff elsewhere and not opening this attraction just yet due to its indoor nature and close contact between groups.

They may think it might not be that popular and they can better use staff at other attractions since they are struggling to recruit anyway.
