Yeah this is why I couldn’t work on a customer service desk, I would have likely grabbed the clipboard off said person and started beating them over the head with it shouting “get a life”.

Working around customers in general is hard enough. Working on a desk deliberately made to deal with queries (read complaints) sounds like Hell on Earth. I'd smack someone within a week.

Went yesterday and today and just got home. Had a great weekend. The park was running very well. Monorails in and out were plentiful Hardly had to wait. Thirteen closed yesterday but open today. Wickerman was down half off today but opened in the afternoon. However the staff were all great and I appreciate they must be working in difficult conditions right now.

Park looked good though some of the pay attractions scattered around the park , eg the rifle range by Rita and the remote control cars up by driving school need some attention as most didn’t work but took the money.

The entertainment on the lawns have a great party atmosphere and the picnic tables are a great addition with loads of people using them.

Weather was good to us, perfect for a theme park visit on both days.

Social distancing is non existent as is mask wearing now so if you are concerned about Covid, you might want to keep away for a bit!

Was a really really good weekend though.

Anyone know what this entails? It’s listed under shows on the app.

Have to say it would have been great if tree top quest was open this weekend. We did the golf which has had a bit of a repaint in places but would have loved to have done the tree top quest again.

Apparently they’ve got flags in a similar style to those at the ParkVibes event at Thorpe Park down by the lawns, so maybe this is whatever that summer thing the park were hinting towards a while back is turning out to be?

However, it would also appear that they’re not listing the new Sir Algenon-themed shows on the lawns, so maybe this is just an alternative name for those?

Sir Algenon shows were on last weekend when I went. As for the flags…. Some people have mocked them but I thought they added a nice festival style vibe to the area.
It's funny, the flags at Thorpe in the few vlogs I've seen every one raves about them (then again, they are probably the best theming installed there in a long time :D) yet they are placed in tatty oil drums for support. At least that isn't the case at Towers.

Some has posted on Facebook that the ground floor of ATH is flooded?

edit just seen these photos on Twitter

And this gives a great idea of just how bad the rain is. Unfortunately it looks like daily Mail have asked to use this… wonder what the headline will be

Yeah the trouble is this isn't just a thunderstorm, the park and hotels have coped fine before but we got a months worth of rain in a day in London at the weekend so if there is similar weather up in Staffordshire the ground just can't absorb that much and the drains can't cope so it flows into buildings easily.

I'm guessing Secret Garden will be closed tonight then. Maybe they will do dining in the conference centre if Flambo's doesn't have enough capacity for both hotels worth of guests.
That carpet is going to take a while to dry out!
