Following on from my favourite Magnum flavours topic I thought I'd make a favourite ice cream flavours topic. There are lots of flavours and obviously I couldn't put them all on the poll so feel free to choose 'other'. I tried to organise the poll with the most popular as options so we get a clear picture. I did check to see if this topic already existed and couldn't find it however if it does I apologise in advance.

As for me I'm a big fan of strawberry however my favourite is mint choc chip. I do try other flavours sometimes are they always have so many these days however I often find myself reverting back to mint choc chip and I think it's the best.

My personal prediction is that mint choc chip, chocolate and Mr whippy will be the leaders in this race but lets see. I could be completely wrong.

Of the ones listed, I’d have to say other; mine is Salted Caramel!
Oh I forgot you were a caramel fan @Matt N . I can't stand salted caramel anything and definitely not caramel ice cream. Just really doesn't sound nice to me salt and sweet in one go.
Other - Aka Pistachio.

B&J lost me when they ditched Chunky Monkey. As they say you are what you eat :p
I'm really not sure how nut flavoured ice cream would even taste. I don't eat nuts as it is so I've never tried pistachio ice cream.

It's sweeter and definitely less saltier than bag of pistachios, think of how banana ice cream tastes nothing like bananas. Most variations contain little to no pistachios

Oh so it doesn't really taste like pistachios bur rather just a generally nutty taste but sweeter?

I'm a sucker for a good strawberry ice-cream, and caramel is also another one I'll often go for. One of my favourites is Ben & Jerry's 'Minter Wonderland', available around Christmas. The mint flavour is strong enough to be detectable, but light enough to not be overpowering, and it's well-balanced by the bits of dark chocolate. I don't usually go for regular chocolate ice-cream, but Snugburys does a stunning white chocolate one. One of my favourites from Tesco (I know, I know - I'm a traitor :p) is this Caffe Latte one. They did a mascarpone gelato one too, but that's been discontinued, which is a shame, as it was delicious. There's also this bad boy from Sainsbury's. Sharp blackcurrants ofssetting the creaminess of the ice-cream really works as something different to raspberry ripple. And then, of course, there's the wonderful Creme Egg ice-cream available in the run-up to Easter. How I'm not even fatter than I currently am is a miracle. :p

All of these ice creams look really nice. Going to have to try that one from Sainsburys. Yum!

On another note the results of the poll are not as I expected at all. Other is winning by a considerable amount. I would guess the main reason for this is that there is just so much choice for ice cream flavours these days.

The flavour is less important than the brand. Rossi ice cream is hard to beat.

One of the best I ever had was a Clotted Cream ice cream while down in Devon. Wish I knew who made it so I could try it again.
