Scarefest 2021

Toxic Junkyard looks to be blacked out now. I haven't seen what the finale section looks like but the front area with the shipping containers is now completely covered in tar pollen.

Might be going on the 31st, but am I right in thinking it will be absolutely packed?
And by golly it's expensive on that weekend, £46!
With the mazes added on that's £76 per person!

I remember last year around now they starting selling late session tickets for scarefest, from 4pm onwards I think it was.

No sign of this as yet so suggests ticket sales are up generally on last year therefore no need for a push like that? Worked last year to be fair, I was there on the opening Friday and it was incredibly busy from tea time.

Think i might change it to an earlier slot then! Just a shame as the atmosphere around the towers and toxic junkyard is nowhere near the same when it’s not dark..
You should check as soon as you can as I'm not sure if maze tickets can be changed once booked.

Edit: Construction update!

The gate price has gone up to £58 but still means a decent saving if you have a Kellogg’s or Carex voucher as brings it down to £29 each. There seems to be availability most days except fireworks when the vouchers aren’t valid.

Is £76 a lot for 11 hours entertainment ?
I arrive later on Scarefest days to account for the later close, so would have less than 11 hours. Looking at the Monday or Tuesday now anyway as it will be a bit quieter. Plus there will be 5 people in my group, so obviously the cost will be substantial anyway.

Just had a quick look at the q-t website, all the last Sundays of October have been packed. That includes 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Only exception being 2015 because of Smiler incident

So, yes you are right, chances are that it will be packed.

I've not been to scarefest for years but from reading these comments it seems to be a shambles. How is it possible for the mazes to be timed ticketed attractions yet still have huge queues? How can they justify running them like that?

I have no issue with mazes being upcharge rather than included like they used to be; they are something quite apart from the usual offering. But to pay for a timed ticket then have to queue for more than a few minutes seems absurd and not something I'm willing to be part of.

The queues and crowds in general at these things make it a complete no-go for me these days given that its a 3 hour drive each way.

God speed to those of you who do venture up though, I'll be praying for you.

The queues are rarely huge but if you do 4 mazes and each has a 20min wait, plus 10 minutes in the attraction then 5 min walk to the next then that’s over 2 hours of time and for folk on here they don’t want to lose the night rides. The queues really only get silly if they have a lot of downtime, either due to tech issues or violent guests.

I'm in the mazes at 1pm on the 16th, looking forward to doing FS: TJ again particularly as it's now mostly enclosed. Also intrigued to do Darkest Depths again now it's not a family maze, I always find Mine Tours pretty good and I'm hoping The Attic can maintain it's quality from last year.

Someone in the Sub Terra uniform was spotted at Towers today! Not sure if it's a staff member or a guest in fancy dress, but I suspect the latter.

Did you take the photo? If not then sharing photos of another person taken by someone else does feel a bit creepy?
If it’s on public social media then link to the actual post instead. If it’s not public then probably best not to post it.
