A number of new/sealed copies of the Bryan family book about the park are now on eBay for seven quid including postage, would recommend if you haven't got it.
They were flogging them for 50p at the park last year. Not too sure if they’re still selling them after the takeover.

They are giving them away for free in every shop . So many copies left and I paid £5 when they 1st came out.

Staff been letting guests know that the final weekend to ride Pandemonium is 30/31st October with Apocalypse staying for at least another season.
good news for apocalypse as I didn't think they'd be able to sell it. Bad news about pandemonium, I hope they put something decent in place. I'm actually looking forward to see what Looping do witht he park next year. I hope they do add something as the park still needs building up again. There are several rumours I've heard but none with any good evidence.
Sure @Wilko Beware these are very loose speculation and I don't believe most of them. Nor do I usually indorse spreading fake rumours so be advised these are just some I've heard not that I believe.
I've heard S&S 4D free spin to replace apocalypse and pandemonium, which I think is very unlikely. As apparently someone referred to a new attraction in a few years fin and tall and it's like the batman coaster at six flags. Presumable referring to the original free spin: https://rcdb.com/4538.htm
I've heard Zamperla Disco in adventure cove which seems plausible and actually somewhat likely due to the original part of adventure cove being wave 1. Can't think where I heard this but it seems to be the most widespread rumour suggesting it's likely.
I've also heard a loose rumour of a Zamperla factory coaster in the pirates adventure building. Listing on zamperla's website: https://www.zamperla.com/products/factory-coaster/
This to me seems unlikely and it is a very loose and unsourced rumour but I thought I'd mention I'd heard it. I also can't think where I've heard this one. I no way to I think this is happening but I sort of wish it would. It's a somewhat unique product that would fit with Draytons family audience and give the UK something really cool. It would also give Zamperla chance to develop the model more as only one has been built. I've heard that if this went ahead it would likely stick with the pirate theme as the surrounding area is already themed to it.
The loosest rumour I've heard is that a batman the ride B&M invert clone from kuwait second hand maybe going to drayton. I think this stems from the S&S rumour as it is another ride called Batman at six flags. However it doesn't fit the other part of the description. I also personally, don't think its a good fit for Drayton with Nemesis just down the road and the I don't think they'd get the value for money if they went with it.
Finally. I've heard mentioned a new area in the grass next to buffalo and the old VERTIGO high ropes. This area would apparently have a medieval theme with a Gerstlauer family coaster of some sort that would apparently be called VIking. This is think is ridiculously too specific for someone to know and is likely just made up by someone for attention. I think it's plausible but very unlikely and I would be surprised if this comes to past.
Concluding I do not think most of these have the slightest chance of happening apart from the disko. I would suspect most of them are made up by people who are attention seeking or who think that they've seen some evidence that is likely someone messing with them. I'm sorry I can't think where these have came from but I definitely have heard them and I've not just made them up. I'd love for Drayton to prove me wrong on even one of these, apart from the disko which I think will probably happen, as some of them sound like great fits.

To be fair the “fake coaster” in-jokes are quite common on forums, it’s difficult to tell the difffenence between the obviously fake rumours like Kuwait B&M’s and the more genuine rare creds like Wuzeball etc.
The original poster was very clear in their content that all of the rumours should be taken with a pinch of salt...at the beginning and end of the post, so come down off your high horse.
And Wuzeball only opens a couple of days a year so it doesn't count as a true cred.

I really cannot see apocalypse going - it’s really unique in this country and a good solid ride
Every ride reaches the end of its life at some point, sadly it seems that Apocalypse has reached it’s. It would cost thousands of pounds to fully repair each of the 5 chutes and it just isn’t worth it to the park anymore.

Apocalypse is actually for sale on Interlink Ride Trade, so I’m afraid that it going isn’t a rumour.
It’s a shame, as even though I perhaps don’t like it as much as the majority, I still thought it was a great drop tower, and my favourite ride at Drayton!

It is possible the lack of a buyer means its worth keeping it operating, its a relatively low maintenance ride system beyond the odd cable replacement and even leaving it SBNO doesn’t remove all maintenance costs (you can’t neglect a huge metal tower in the middle of your park) and the cost of deconstruction and storage without a buyer isn’t insignificant.
I mean there must be a reason they want rid but i suspect its because they plan to re-orientate the park to a Chessington/ Paultons style young family market more than Apocalypse is particularly hard to keep going.

When the ride opened after the lockdown in April it operated with just 1 sit down, 1 Stand up and flourless the other 2 were just used for spares. Went on it about a month ago and even the other stand up was in pieces.
Pandemonium been having major problems with just half the seats in use on both sides.

Yeah sadly it's a case of "when", not "if".
Glad it's staying for at least one more season. Gives me time to get back to Drayton next year and ride it (and the River Rapids of course, which I've dearly missed)
