Quick Questions

It sells out much quicker these days. CBeebies Hotel guests now get free express parking so lots of the spaces are used by those guests, meaning less availability to book for others.
Why should CBeebies Hotel guests get free express parking? Other than to help justify the extortionate cost? Make the little s**ds walk or take the monorail like the rest of us - that's what I say! :D:D

I bet that change was all because of some Karens kicking off that they have to walk too far with their cotton-wool wrapped little darlings and they couldn't cope with them having a temper tantrum because of it (the mums and their kids tantrums, not Towers and Karen's tantrum :D:D)

It’s stems from when they scrapped ERT and introduced the hotel guest entrance near Galactica.

Since that is the complete opposite side of the park to CBeebies Land free Express parking was a compromise. In theory if they bring back ERT then this will be the end of the free express.

In fairness, I’d imagine a pre-schooler’s little legs probably wouldn’t cope too well with the long walk from the hotel to the theme park, and I’d also imagine that the walk from Galactica over to CBeebies Land would be quite exhausting for a young toddler. I can only imagine that it would be so much more exhausting for a youngster, so for that reason, I imagine Towers does it to minimise exhaustion for CBeebies Land guests.

I know the Monorail exists, but that often has a long queue, and this move would also minimise monorail queues.

The last couple of times we've been we've been directed to park just behind the express parking and not to the main car park

We usually arrive 915ish

If they know it’s going to be a busy day, they will often fill the coach overflow car park up in the morning, before they fully fill the main car parks. They will rather use that than have to fill the fields.

I think the fastrack limits are also quite low. Most days when I go the box office always say they are sold out. I do think they sell a small amount on the day at the box office, but you’ll have to go there straight away to buy them.

Will the new £119 AT gold pass have limited availability like the new gold and platinum MAP's that were quite quickly sold out?

Merlin annual passes are back on sale now. They "sold out" over the summer due to the capacity issues from covid and due to the extensions to the old passes meaning there was still quite a lot of passes in circulation. Now they are expiring they have started new sales again.

Unless either way too many people buy them next season, or social distancing comes back I wouldn't expect the pass to sell out. But some dates for pre-booking may sell out.

I feel a bit silly asking this but, hey, I'll ask anyway. :)

What is the etiquette for replying to dormant threads, [eg last reply Nov 2018]?

I’ve found that it’s usually OK as long as you have something relevant to the discussion to contribute.

You could do that, or depending on how long ago the last reply was, you could just start a new thread. I don’t know which the mods would prefer, though, so you’d probably be best asking one of the team.
