General Queue Times Discussion

Some well overstated queues for me yesterday:

Nemesis said 50, waited 20
Air said 40, waited 10
Oblivion said 45, waited 30 (was about 45 by time we got off though due to being stuck on the brake run for ages)
The rest pretty much correct.

Was a strange day, seemed busy with big queues but generally operations were spot on with trains being thrown out on the roller coasters. Even Air on 1 Station at 7pm took 10 mins from the merge. Nemesis 20 mins from where the vending machines used to be too was pretty impressive.

I wonder why Nemesis is closed?

Also; wow, those queues are long for a Friday! I wonder what’s causing it?
To be fair nemesis has been quite good for the latter half of the season unlike most of the rides in the park. Nemesis seemed to struggle early seasson however it seemed to be in it's element of the usual reliability by about August.

Yeah reliability has really been flipped on it’s head, the coaster i would say had the least amount of time closed at the start of October has now had the most downtime of the season, perhaps second to only TH13TEEN. Nemesis is much more reliable than at the start of the season. All big 7 coasters now seem to have had their moment of unreliability throughout this season.

I'd still argue the smiler has been the most reliable. Apart from this long spell its barely been down all season. It's had the odd bit but not as much as other rides. Shame it couldn't maintain that til the end of the season but these things happen

I would argue it has been most reliable up until last week, but it can't be an argument made when the other big 7 coasters haven't had as many days down as this this year. TH13TEEN might have, but I think it's only been down for a full day a few solo days, and I don't know if I'm going to count it as unreliability, The Smiler has had the most amount of days closed now, so I don't think it can be argued it's the most reliable for the season anymore. I'd say it's now a toss up between Galactica, Oblivion and Wicker Man, as TH13TEEN, Rita and Nemesis can be counted out of that.

Double post, but when you check the queue times website at queuetimes.com the uptime to downtime percentages are revealed when you click on each ride, revealing that for the past 7 days, the most reliable of the big 7 is Nemesis. Oblivion is in 2nd, Wicker Man is 3rd, Galactica is 4th, Rita is 5th, TH13TEEN is 6th with the The Smiler obviously in 7th. So despite it's shaky start, Nemesis is on top over the last week with a total uptime percentage of 95.4%, just edging Oblivion at 95.3%. TH13TEEN is at 60% uptime for reference.

And outside of the big 7 Spinball whizzer is the most reliable coaster, with 97.1% uptime

Spinball Whizzer seems to be the most reliable coaster over the last 7 days actually then, as RMT's is about 93% and Octonauts stats are unreliable because of the 7pm close every night.

We’re less than an hour into the day; I’m sure some things will open later on. I’m sure Wicker Man, for instance, is just having a funny 5 minutes and will open in a bit. Ditto with Galactica. Thirteen and The Smiler I’m less sure on; if it’s raining, I doubt Thirteen will open, and Smiler is seemingly down for the rest of the season if the removed Fastrack tickets are anything to go by.

The park can’t help rides breaking down, especially in the current circumstances where staff are often hard to come by.

Wicker Man is now taking sacrifices.

"Your sacrifice is important to use and we will sacrifice you in due coarse, but due to high levels of willing participants your sacrifice may be delayed by up to 85mins"

Or more given that I waited 30 mins longer than advertised on Thursday (15 if we exclude the break down)
