No mention of rastamouse in the booklet I have, however that was announced later on this years beach parties.
Haha, that'll keep most of TST happy then.

Anyway, this looks like quite a good line up of events across the closed season. Some recurring events alongside some new ones too. It's always good to see the hotels coming up with ways of encouraging people to visit when the theme park is closed!

That is going to be awkward for guests, making them walk all the way through the park to Ice Age! I also don't imagine the Monorail would be operating. On the upside it could make for some good SW7 pictures near to opening! ;D

They certainly are pushing Ice Age this year, the 4D cinema features in Santa sleepovers in December, Feb half term in Feb and the Ice Age weekend in March.

Defiantly interested in stopping on resort for one of these dates if anybody else wants to

We did do the beach party weekend this year and it was a great weekend, so ill certainly be up for it again next year (maybe the March one, thats near my birthday :p).

Preparations are on going at the resort currently.

Does anybody fancy the pirate weekend or the weekend after ??

I do like seeing the Resort pushing the events so that visitors see it more than just a park with two hotels, once the lodges are introduced they'll have so much more to play with. Out of interest, what are the visitor numbers for the Resort out of season? I can't imagine the hotels and waterpark being quiet outside open season.

I would imagine that the hotels are pretty dead during closed season when they havnt got any events on, eg mon-fri, as I cant see many people going out of their way to stay at a hotel in the middle of no where with nothing to do. But I imagine they might get alot of business people in during the winter for confrences and parties.

During closed season I have only ever been when they have had these themed weekends on.

This weekend its the Swashbuckling pirate weekend at the hotels. Here are a few photos of the hotels looking all piratey!

I'm keeping my fingers tightly crossed that your right....

We're going a few times over the closed season, we plan to hammer the watermark when it's quiet and have a chilled out time with the offers that are circling round :)

I have to admit, I am slowly getting more and more interested in going during the off-season when one of these events are on. Whether it's because I now know more about the resort that I used to I don't know but they are starting to appeal to me. I might just have to see what they're like for myself this year.

It's also pretty good value in winter.

The fact Waterpark admission is usually included really boosts the appeal!

Rather looking forward to this weekend at towers such be fairly relaxed

It's nice to see that Charlie has been added to the Christmas ride line up this year! At least it seems they're heading towards the family side to now, not just kids! Maby RMT in the next few years?

RMT really really doesn't like the cold, least of all the snow, and so I think it would be very hard to tempt it out of the tunnel on some of the cold winter days we've had in previous years! Also it would require a completely different ride team to operate it, as well as being out of the way of the other attractions on offer now that Mutiny Bay isn't open.

The question, of course, is how the park are going to get guests from Towers Street to Cloud Cuckoo Land without any naughty ones wandering off into X Sector :)
