It's something that I promise to do each year but never get around to it, but it's getting closer to the time of year when Hyde Park becomes home to Winter Wonderland. :p

I expect a few people on here will have visited this attraction in the past and I'd like to hear what it's like. What are the highlights of a visit? What are the best rides? Things like that.

I remember that on previous occasions, our community heard rumours of larger coasters arriving and many hoped for a Schwarzkopf like the ones that frequent famous German travelling fairs and whatnot. Shame it hasn't happened yet (and it probably never will, but I live in hope :p ), but does anyone know what this year might bring?

Here's a video from Winter Wonderland's home page:

DISCUSS! :p

Okay, slight topic fail. :-[

Is anyone visiting this year or is it not very good? Also, does anyone know about any changes that have been made for this year?

Anyone? :p

I've heard that Wild Maus XXL will be there. Other than that, I've no idea. I'll be going there anyway, what with being local.

Top tip: under no circumstances even THINK about going on a weekend.

Wilde Maus XXL might be there? This sounds quite exciting! :D

Still, Alpina Bahn or Olimpia Looping would be better, but a big wild mouse coaster is still something to cher about if it turns up.

:)

As long as they don't cop out like last year and give us a standard spinning mouse. :( Also, I'm getting rather bored of Euro Coaster now. Surely it's time for a new line up?

Shame they can't swap Euro Coaster with a certain Euro Star...

:p

Sadly, I think that's impossible. Whilst there's been no official confirmation, all evidence points to Eurostar having been scrapped.

I haven't seen anything about Eurostar having been scrapped. Wouldn't be too fussed about Euro Coaster being turned into Heinz Beans cans though.

Bump!

Wilde Maus XXL has been confirmed on Winter Wonderland's website and they've also posted this image of the attractions going up on their FB page:

I reeeeaaaaalllyyy want to go! :p

"Packman Wheel in trying to eat Air shocker!"

Oh, sorry, I thought this was the caption comp topic.

I'll be going next Saturday, I'm looking forward to riding the Wild Mouse XXL :)

I want to go, just need someone who wants to come with me... kinda sucks when most of your friends are too tied up with uni work.

Looks awesome!

Well if any of you are in town and want to go, feel free to give me a shout.

I ended up going faaaaar too many times last year for this very reason... :p

It's really quite pants, if I'm honest. There is usually two rides at best that are worth it. Often those rides will cost £6-8 for a short cycle, and the crowds are horrific.

But, you know, they have Air...

Yeah it is expensive, but this years event looks ace, and the Wild Maus XXL makes it worth a visit alone.

Air terrifies me (see 'You show me yours' topic!), however I'll be riding many times after work, as it's a lovely place to visit!
