Winter Wonderland 2012

Off the top of my head, the headliners are Air and Wild Maus XXL. Was going to pop along today, but I overslept.....

I know quite a few peeps are there today, so I'm sure they can enlighten you.

I've just come back from there, It's a really enjoyable experience and I love it! ;D Wild Maus XXL is Pretty Good for a fair, But I loved the atmosphere, will visit again this year! :D
 
Does anybody know how much it costs to ride Air, Power Tower and Wild Maus XXL? From reading this, I'm expecting to have to shell out £15 minimum for these three in total?

Last year it was £6 for anything worth riding :( Don't think there was anything cheaper than £4.
 
Personally, I love Winter Wonderland and admire everyone involved in putting the event together - it's a massive effort which is amazing and it also has a great atmosphere.

Yes it is expensive but given everything that goes into it, I think it's worth it. Air, Power Tower & Wilde Maus XXL are all £6 whereas there are cheaper rides & attractions like Mannings Afterburner Show Time which is £5 and the excellent funhouse Alpen Hotel which is £4 :)
 
I agree on the effort part, it was very interesting watching them build it all this year. Still very expensive though.

Thanks guys! I'll probably just go to soak up the atmosphere then, as prices like that are going to add up pretty fast. Maybe I'll pick one when I'm there :)
 
It seemed like a superior ride line-up this year compared with last; some rather impressive structures though still absolutely ludicrously overpriced which just means that riding anything isn't really worthwhile as far as I'm concerned, though everything still a a huge queue when I was there. Ah well, it's all about the atmosphere with Winter Wonderland anyway, so I'm not too bothered about that; will definitely strive to visit the place again later in the Christmas period.
 
Whilst on a walk today I decided to see what it was like up close and....it looks SOOO MUCH FUN!

I'm trying to get people to go, but I don't know many that can either afford it or would even be into the rides or anything fun. If there was a mini meet there I'd definitely be up for it.

The only REALLY bad crowd there was by the Christmas market, it was stupidly packed and the stores weren't that impressive either.
 
I've been trying to talk Kelpie in to going, but she's one of those prejudiced idiots with double standards, who enjoys rides that are in a perminant home, but as soon as it's moved an inch refuses to go anywhere near it ::)

This snobbish attitude of some theme park enthusiasts really winds me up... But this is not the place for the age old parks vs fairs debate ;)
 
I'm still wondering when to visit, particularly with family, out of yearly tradition but because it's so busy now, I don't know if it'll be worth the busyness seeing as I barely ride anything there anyway (I'm only there to gawp at the rides then gawp at the market) so tempted to miss out on the occasion altogether!
 
It's definitely worth a visit this year if you can go 'off peak'. I spent a couple of hours there on Tuesday and its a nice little layout this year. Bavarian Village and market areas are great, and the Wilde Maus XXL is really good fun.
