A Royal Baby

You've probably heard, but in case you haven't, there's big news!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are having a baby!

How exciting!
A boy or a girl? What name will it have?

Wonderful!

Wow!!! :) I didn't know! How exiting! No doubt they'll call it something awfully posh!
And I hope its a girl.

Oh for christ sake.

Just when I thought I was free of all the sycophantic worship of those autocratic elitist twits, we're now going to have another nine months of it.

Whoopty-bloody-doo. That has well and truly ruined my day.

For those sad enough to care...

The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby, St James's Palace has announced.

Members of the royal family and the duchess's family, the Middletons, are said to be delighted.

A spokesman said the duchess has been admitted to King Edward VII Hospital in central London with acute morning sickness and is expected to stay for several days.

Catherine and William were married at Westminster Abbey in April 2011.

The duchess was last seen in public on Friday when she visited her old school St Andrew's School in Pangbourne in Berkshire.

The royal baby will be born third in line and in direct succession to the throne.

He or she will one day be head of the armed forces, supreme governor of the Church of England and head of the Commonwealth, and subsequently head of state of 16 countries.

Prime Minister David Cameron wrote on Twitter that he was "delighted by the news", adding: "They will make wonderful parents."

I hope with all my heart that this baby turns out to be gay, or trans.

That'd be wonderful. :)

And I should care some racist, homophobic toffs are having a baby because?

::)

All I can say to this is that I'm happy for them and wish them good luck on the journey as parents!

A friend of mine that I worked with at Gay Star News actually predicted this last week, when Kate was sporting a new haircut saying that the hair was to draw attention away from anything else about her. Quite impressed that she sussed it out

I'd love for them to be a MTF lesbian.

That way, the Church of England would be thinking they have a straight king as leader, only to then find out she's a gay woman!

Here's the deal. They call it Keith, I'll become a Royalist.

They call it Diana II, I'll get the Queen's face tattooed on my bum.

If any of you want to debate the Royal Family then it might be best to make a separate topic.

Clearly this topic was made for discussion on Kate's pregnancy, so it would be nice if the topic keeps to that rather than turning into a royal family debate. :)

Congratulations to them!

P.S - Does this mean we get another public holiday? ;)
Hopeing for another public holiday got to enjoy public holidays :)

I very much doubt that we'll be getting another public holiday when the baby is born. I'm not really surprised by this news - to be honest, it was only a matter of time before we were told that a baby was on the way - but I'm quite happy regarding it, and I wish them well. :)

All I know is that you won't find many people calling for the hundreds of thousands if not millions pounds of tax money that will go into this child to be withdrawn, but if you are poor and DARE to have more than two children, then you are an evil scrounger who deserves your benefit to be removed, who cares if the the kid starves.

It's a crazy world filled with crazy blind people.

Well, this wasn't the direction I wanted this topic to go in...

Do you think it wise to discuss the Royals themselves in another, seperate topic and use this one to celebrate the birth of a child?

:)
