Wearing glasses on coasters

In the last few years my eyesight has worsened and I now wear glasses full-time.
Last few times I've been to parks, I've just left my glasses in the car and I can't continue to do this, really. It means I can't see everything properly and end up with headaches.
I have sene people in queues and on rides wearing glasses and I guess they never lose them, but I don't think I would have the same luck. Or rather, I wouldn't want to take the chance.
I've also seen people with, what look like straps that go over the ear pieces of their glasses and around the back of their heads to keep their glasses on.
Anyone here who wears glasses can point me in the direction of such a product that they recommend?

I always wear clothing with zip-up pockets to parks so I can carry my glasses and phone without worrying about losing them.
Glasses are expensive, though, and I wouldn't want to stuff them in my pocket, much less have to carry around a bulky case all day to protect them in my pocket. Would much prefer to be able to keep them on.

Contacts are the way forward. If not then I wear glasses but put them in a case when on rides, but it does mean carrying a case around all day. Wear a jacket with zipped pockets for security.

I have seen people wear glasses straps but I haven't worn one for years. I think they are called sports straps. Maybe have a look on eBay or Amazon.

Most opticians sell "sports straps".
Sunday mornings for a couple of seasons began with a ride on Infusion first thing, wife at the shops, me with a brisk walk round the coasters, Infusion always opened first.
Always fun with the excellent staff, we often played hide and seek, and spot the bad hangover, with tales of the night before.
I was usually on the first or second front seat of the day, without effort.
Glasses checks evolved...the question "Strap on, Rob?", became a statement of greeting over time..."Strap On Rob!"
The name stuck...
My current strap is a short length of my wife's bra strap elastic, looped and stitched at each end by the nice lady.
Black, quarter inch, with the occasional black heart embroidery, absolutely free.
It has become one of those minor essential items in my life, usually kept on the car centre console, I lose one or two a year.
They should sell them in all the park shops, if they can sell oblivion condoms, they can sell big one strap ons.
My mind explodes in double entendres.....

I do the exact same thing, I never go to a park without wearing clothes with zippable pockets. My glasses usually stay in the car or in a case zipped up somewhere. But make sure you use a hard case, I’ve had them before in a soft pouch where the weight of the restraint coming down has squashed them and popped the lens out.

One of my kids wears glasses and for theme park trips she wears a rubber strap that attaches to her glasses and goes round the back of her head. They seem to work fine, never had any issues and ride ops seem fine with them. The only minor issue is that with long hair, they are better/more comfortable when the hair is tied back in a high ponytail. We got a set of about 10 off of Amazon. She’s not 1.4 yet but they are fine on the 1.2 rides she’s been on so far.

Your story reminds me of the Covid masks I use to carry around. Made by my mum with white frilly elastic. Very clear what they were originally from, but they were too comfy not to use.

Regarding glasses I started wearing them about 6 years ago, around the time I stopped visiting parks so frequently. Because of this I've had several near miss moments when I've got on a ride completely forgetting about the glasses. Surprisingly I've never had a ride op tell me to secure them.
